Default Leaving for Disney in a few hours

Just checked the forecast they are calling for 30% chance of rain everyday. Sounds like a lot of rain! Hoping it doesn't come true. Anyone live in Florida were the chances are good it won't come?

Florida, for the most part, has passing showers. Rarely does it rain all day. My advice, pack a raincoat and keep on touring. Some of the best times we have had in the parks is when it is raining. Everyone heads for the rresorts and we keep on going. I can remember staying on Thunder Mountain multiple times in a row, it was great!

Plus as a New Englander we never rely on a weathermans forcast. Rarely are they right. Plus with a 30% chance of rain that is like saying 'It most likely won't rain but I'd like to cover my butt just in case it does'! LOL!

    Have a fabulous trip!!!!

I was thinking the same thing before I read your post. I am a Minnesotan.

When I look at MSN weather is says 0% chance for today to Tuesday, 20% Wed, then 0 again Thurs and Fri. So it just shows it changes all the time and everyone says something different.

Let me assure you it is VERY dry here right now and there is no rain in sight.....sooo...if it did rain, it would have to be a passing shower.....the whole state is a clear as can be!! Have a great time!!

In the south at summertime there is always a 30% percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. I hope you have a GREAT trip!! I'm jealous I have a few weeks to wait.

In my mind a 30% chance of rain means there is a 70% chance that it won't rain!

Don't let the rain change your plans. You can still have a great time at the parks when it is raining.

Technically, a 30% chance of precipitation means up to 1/3 of the area will receive some measurable rain at some time during the day. It does not mean it will be raining 30% of the time.

As has been said, the atmosphere over Central FL is very dry right now, and it's unlikely any spot will get more than an hour or so of showers. Most spots will get nothing or a few drops; a few may get a brief typical tropical downpour.
