I drive, wish I could walk. I only live 2.5hrs away. To fly it would take longer to get to the airport, check in, get my bags from Orlando airport, jump on ME, than it would to drive. Not that I haven't thought about it.

The first time I went, my family drove there. From Indiana to Florida, it was a 16 hour drive. It didn't bother me too much, because my parents were driving, and I got to stay in the back anticipating the upcoming adventure.

Then, my mom and I decided to go on a trip without dad and my sister. My mom finally got the guts to fly. Both of us loved it and will being doing it again this upcoming November along with all of the times that we will be going again!

We live in Mobile, Alabama, and are close enough to drive. My parents live in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and we generally drive there the night before. The next morning, we drive the 5 or so hours to Disney, getting there about 2:30. On the sad day we have to leave, we drive the whole 7 hours home.

We fly. We make an adventure out of it. My DS loves the airport! I guess we could drive, but I sometimes have to hold my breath when we're on a short drive, hearing "are we there yet" and couldn't imagine hearing it for such a long trip!

We always drive, not crazy about flying. It takes 11 hours, but the trip has become a part of our vacation! We have our favorite places to stop along the way and our DD's travel well!

Oh, how I wish we lived close enough to drive! I'm sure our trips to WDW would be more frequent. We live in California and would not dare to drive! (I just looked it up on Google Maps and it would take us 1 day + 18 hours to drive - no thanks)!
It takes us about 6 hours to drive to Disneyland, though!

As a kid, we always drove to Disney. My mom will not fly. So, as it came time for my family to go, naturally we drive. If we leave at 4am we are there at 4pm. We stop to eat and there are potty breaks. We don't mind driving and I think it's part of the experience. My siblings and myself can normally remember trips by what happened in the car ride to where ever we where going. When I look back I wouldn't have changed it,

We HAVE to fly, unless they have developed a car that can drive over oceans and runs on sunlight, yeah sadly its a long flight from New Zealand. Oh well maybe someday we will be able to say I use the teleport and am in WDW in a flash. Now that would be awesome!

This is interesting! We are a little over 25 hours from Disney and have always flown but are trying to "ready" ourselves to drive down with our dogs next year!

I picked "Other", simply because my travels don't fit any of the other categories.

For many years, we traveled by plane. My first WDW plane trip was on Eastern Airlines - now that's a blast from the past! Does anyone remember the very small original Orlando airport terminal?

Starting in the 90s, friends and I traveled by car (every year for approximately 15 years). We had some interesting experiences along the way, and could write a very long book filled with all of the funny stories of those times. I really miss those days.

My Mother and I traveled many times on the train. We had sleeping accommodations, and really enjoyed the trips. The travel time was approx 21 hours each way. Train travel isn't for everyone, but we enjoyed it. In fact, although Mom has passed away, I still take solo train trips to WDW (with sleeping accommodations).

I still fly on occasion (Southwest is my current airline of choice).

We have done both. I like to drive. I don't like flying (one bad experience). DW likes to fly. We compromise, so naturally DW gets her way.

I marked that "we drive to save money", but that's not the primary reason. We drive because I'm terrified of flying. It's an 18 hour drive, and we prefer to drive straight through. We tried stopping half way on our return trip last year and swore we'd never do that again. We prefer just buckling down and getting to our destination. If we leave around 1-2pm, we get in about 8am the next morning. We have a 2-hour daily commute (1 hour each way), so long drives don't bother us. However, once we get to WDW, we don't go near our car until it's time to leave. The drive actually helps us unwind and get into vacation mode.
