I totally agree. When I read it in the LA Times I found it weird, and to see UPI pick it up even more suspect. Where is journalistic integrity. So I posted it to get Intercot feedback. Thanks (and thanks for migrating into this thread. Sorry I didn't read it first).

    Question New Fantasmic! Dragon?

Can anyone report whether the new dragon is perfoming reliably yet? I was there 2 weekends ago and the dragon was a no-show. I'd like to go back this weekend and give it another try but I'd rather not waste 1.5 hours waiting for Fantasmic! again if the dragon's not working.

Reports from people online who have been to the park say it is not in the show yet. There are some saying that it could be in by sometime next week, but don't know the credibility of those reports. My plan is to just wait until I read it is up and running, then I will go to see the show.

    Default Summer Nightastic

I was just looking at the Disneyland website and it listed the dates of the Summer Nightastic until August 23rd. My girlfriend and I were considering making a trip down the weekend after that so we were wondering if the end of the Summer Nightastic would also include the elimination of the new Fantasmic and fireworks show. For those of you who have seen it: is it worth switching dates in order to see it or should we stick with the next weekend?

The Aug. 23 date just signifies the end of the summer high season ... after that the shows get rolled back to weekends only so you might have to adjust around that. You can check the entertainment calendar on INTERCOT (Disney hasn't updated the official schedule hasn't been updated yet for after Aug. 23) or at the Official Disneyland Calender and check to see what the fireworks/Fantasmic! schedule is for your specific dates.

I have not seen the new Fantasmic show yet since they still haven't put all the new show elements in yet. My guess is that anything new to Fantasmic will be part of the show until the next update, so whenever Fantasmic is running, you will see the stuff recently added.

As far as "Magical" the new fireworks show it is good, but in my opinion not great. (Still up to Disney standards which is better than any non Disney show). Maybe I got spoiled by "Remember, Dreams Come True" which some describe as the best fireworks show Disney had done at any of it parks ... I tend to agree. I've heard "Remember" will come back after Summer Nightastic, at least for a while, but have no idea what the schedule will be, or what days the show will take place, or if it will be immediately after Aug. 23rd. As Michael said, any fireworks show will likely only Friday and weekends after the summer.

I loved "Remember" I have to agree it was the BEST fireworks I have ever seen!

I would like to see the new show for Dumbo if nothing else.

I saw the fireworks show last week and Dumbo was awesome. I'm sure I wasn't the only one that started crying - especially since I was there with my mom and she's a bigger softy than even I am!

Apparently now that Summer Nightastic is officially over, the new dragon for Fantasmic is rumored to be ready to go. The new 40ft. audio animatronic dragon may premier as early as Monday night, though I still haven't seen anything official from Disney.

Two nights of the new AA dragon in Fantasmic, though not all the effects have worked each night, but hopefully he will continue to get better.

There are many videos online from both the first and second night appearances of the new dragon.

    Default Maleficent's Dragon in Fantasmic!

I was lucky enough to get to see the new Dragon on the 4th of this month, just 2 days after it's re-premiere. I tell you, this was one AWESOME AA. It has fire shooting from its mouth, and it moves so well!

I know, just 2 nights after I saw it, it was not working properly for, at least, one of the shows of Fantasmic. That is extremely disappointing to hear, since Imagineers have been working on this thing for so long, with it's malfunctions when it was first introduced.

I hope they get this right, and it debuts in WDW soon. I LOVE the DLR Fantasmic about 10 times more than the WDW version. The Peter Pan scene is just so great, and you are so close to the action. The only problem, no seats!

I just wanted to post a report on this and hear anyone else's reviews!
