Hoop de doo?
Has anyone tried the hoop de doo. We might try it this year but hope someone might let us know if we should. Also is it hard to get to?

OMG that was the best show dinner ever. I absolutely loved it. We were able to experience it this year by accident. And were upgraded floor level when we got there. IT is not hard to get into. We called that morning and were able to get in for the 7oclock show no problem and there were tons of seats on the upper balcony still left. You will not be disappointed at all. I think we are going to do it again in January. Or atleast I would like to.

We did HDD on our last trip and absolutely LOVED it. Definitely worth the money. It's very easy to get to...it's in Pioneer Hall at Ft. Wilderness Campground. You can catch a boat from Magic Kingdom directly to FW, and it's just a short walk from the dock. If you're staying at WL or CR, you can also take a boat from those resorts directly to FW.

I love HDD. It's probably my favorite place to eat at Disney. They have the best cornbread ever, and the show is so hilarious! I definately recommend it.
All of our dream can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.
Remember, we must always believe in our wishes, for they are the magic in the world.
Current CM at MK! If you're in Adventureland and craving Dole, Ice Cream, or an eggroll, look for Sarah from Front Royal, VA and say Hi!

Not many will bad mouth the HDD, myself included. It's a great show for all ages. Food is good comfort type food and there's plenty of it.
I wouldn't risk just showing up, if you know when you want to go, call ahead.
I get there via the Contemporary. Take a bus there (or the MK) walk through the resort out to the boat launch and catch the next boat to Fort Wilderness. It's about a 3 minute walk from the landing to Pioneer Hall. Depending on what show, you MAY NOT be able to go back the same way. For the late show, they will have busses outside that will take you where you want to go (on Disney Property). Don't wait too long, those buses don't hang out forever. Even a bathroom break may take too long.

I'm debating this one as well. Last time we did the Spirit of Aloha Show and everyone warned us it wasn't good. Well, they were right. It was horrible! The show and the food. It's the only bad experience I've ever had at Disney.
We are camping at Ft. Wilderness, and I've heard nothing but wonderful things about Hoop-de-doo. Are there better places to sit? For the view and for the interaction? I would love to have my son somehow included.

Adding my voice to the chorus of "go to the Hoop Dee Doo!!"
It is a fun, fun show - and the food is pretty good.
It helps if you have a celebration to celebrate.
The last time we were there - it was my father's birthday, my parents' anniversary, and my nephew's birthday (all in the same month).
They came to our table three times! We were fairly close in front.
It also helps if you have a baldy in your group - the ladies like to pay some special attention to those folk.
They also pick about 6 volunteers to go up on stage and participate in the fun.
This show is a definite must do once show.
i'd also second the get there by Contemporary boat transport. We drove there the first time we went (years and years ago and didn't know any better). You have to take a bus from the Ft. Wilderness parking lot to get to the show - the boat landing from Contemporary/Ft. Wildnerness is right around the corner!!!

I'm glad I was one of those who warned you. The show gets a lot of negative feedback and I am actually getting sick of bashing it. But next time I think of that, I'll remember that unless people are warned, they may actually go and end up losing hard earned money and time. I really have nothing good to say about SoA.

Hoop Dee Doo--Hoop Dee Doo
I can't get the Hoop Dee Doo song out of my head yet and it's been a year. We had a great time there. Loved the adventure of getting there by boat from Magic Kingdom. The seating was excellent. There are no bad seats. I loved it when the cast members acknowledged anniversaries and birthdays. That was fun. The food was served hot, and desert was excellent. Remember, when you book the dinner, you must pay in full for everyone at the time of making the ADR.
Keep smiling and Have a magical day!!!
It's all good.
We love to serve fun, food, and deliciousness.

We went to the HDD on our last trip and it was great! The food was wonderful and two people from our table got picked to be in the show (me and my BIL). Not sure how we got picked, I just know we had a table in the front and were having a great time and clapping along with their songs. You should definitely go!

We have been to the HDD two times. We have a blast when we go. It is cheesy, but such a great time. Besides, where else can you go in Disney and get unlimited refills of beer?
My 13 yr old DH and my 9 yr old DD never tire of it either. It is always a highlight of our trip! Have fun and enjoy the Strawberry Shortcake!
