Default Disneyland Area Spring Break Question

I know everywhere seems to celebrate spring break at different times of the year. Here in our area it is usually the first week of April during the Masters Golf tournament.

I am thinking of a trip March 8th -15th. How is the crowds that week in the Anaheim area? I have heard it might be a bit busy.

    Thanks for any imput.

That is the peak spring break week ... so it will be VERY busy. The whole month of March is fair game for Spring Break. As always Monday-Thursday are the best bets for lower crowds. I am going to pop this over to vacation planning.

Thanks for moving and posting - I appreciate your info. ( I should have known to put the question in Vacation planning)

Would it be better to go the last week of February or the first week of March?

    Again thanks for your help.

Spring Break is a very difficult time to determine. It varies so much from school district to school district.

The first thing I do is check the Annual Passholder blockout dates. This year the southern California passholders are blocked out during the first full weeks of April. This is telling me that the parks are expecting lots of non-passholding visitors during that time.

Most of the Orange County area schools base their breaks on when Easter falls, the beginning of April this year. The UC schools are having their breaks at the end of March. And then there are all of the visitors coming from other areas whose Springs Breaks could be any old time.

So . . . it's kind of a "your guess is as good as mine" type of thing. I don't think that there would be much difference in crowds between the end of February and the beginning of March.

I vote for February ... you will have a chance of rain, but low crowds. Just remember fireworks are only on weekends for lots of the winter.

My son goes to an Orange County public school.

His spring break is April 13-17.

My sister teaches for a school district in Los Angeles. Her spring break is the same week.

Mid March is very early for "spring break" among at LEAST the public schools. Colleges may begin breaks at that time, but not the public schools.

I'd vote for end of February as well.

Our spring break is the week of March 22nd. We've always been pretty early though.
