Default The trip that almost wasn't day 2

So we awaken in Redding to blue skies and palm trees everywhere! After a nice breakfast at the hotel we hit the road. We have reservations at the Fairfield Marriott in Anaheim for the next few days so we must get moving!

After a many boring hours of flat land and cows we get to a few happy sights!

The traffic in LA was surprisingly light so we got to the hotel around 5pm. I won the "spot the Matterhorn" contest and when we pulled up to the hotel, Disneyland was glowing orange from the sunset. We got up to our room. Nice view eh??

So despite the long drive, we quickly freshen up and head to the park!!

The crowds looked very light for a Saturday and we grabbed fast passes for Indy and headed to Pirates. It was a walk on! When we got out of the ride I was thrilled to find NOS was still decorated from the holidays. I'll add better pics of that later.

DH decided he was hungry so we headed to Rancho del Zolco for dinner. It was ok.

We realized we left our trading pins at the hotel so we grabbed a couple from a store and Princess started trading away.

We went on BTMR, Indy, Space Mt, Buzz and a few other rides. When everyone else went on the Matterhorn (my back can't take it) I tried some night shots.

DH now decides he needs some sleep so he heads back and the kids and I head to Toon Town. There was maybe 10 people there. We walked on Roger Rabbit and the kids went on the Gadget Coaster a few times in a row. Then we decided we were tired too so we hopped on the train and got off at Main Street and headed back to the hotel for a good nights sleep.

    *Quick hotel review*
The rooms are a bit on the small side and can use some updating but it was very clean and the beds were very comfy. It's an easy walk to the parks and we got a great rate from AAA. I would recommend it and stay there again.

Sounds like fun! It's nice to hear you had light crowds. Great view from your room.

Not sure how I missed it last time, but I've never been on Roger Rabbit's Toon Town Spin.
I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way.

Sounds like you had a good first day Tea! I'm glad you were able to experience the park with no crowds!

I so sorry that we missed each other. I can't believe I was wandering the park that Sunday and you guys were there. Unfortunately, Tuesday was the only day I couldn't meet you.

I think Ty hid my number so he didn't have to see me.
