Default Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon?

Any pros or cons about 2 water parks would be greatly appreciated!

    Blizzard Beach Pros:

    1. automatic return of your tubes or mats to the top of the slides, this is great because it lets you pick up the mat/tube at the top and not have to haul it up the stairs
    2. Awesome water slides, good for the family
    3. Nice theme, plays Christmas music throughout the year
    4. Large group friendly (slides like toboggan racers and teamboat springs allow a group to ride at once)
    5. Tallest high speed slide if you like that kind of thing.
    6. Winter/Summerland Putt-putt course is right at the entrance so you can always play a round or two if you like (does cost extra)

    Blizzard Beach Cons:
    1. Wave pool is small and not very impressive, waves small
    2. Bus service can take awhile, so plan a lot of time to get to and from BB

    Typhoon Lagoon Pros:

    1. Awesome wave pool, by far the best with large waves (pool itself is huge)
    2. Crush & Gusher water slide (it's like a water roller coaster, you go up and down hills). There's 3 - 4 different slides for that
    3. Shark Reef, you can snorkel with fish and sharks (which are not dangerous, they are small ones and don't even care about you....you have to stay at the surface)
    4. Shark Reef scuba - you can pay $20 (that's what it was in 2007) to get scuba equipment and scuba for 30 minutes on the second side of Shark Reef. Although you are still not permitted to dive under the water. Nice experience and one we found worth it.

    Typhoon Lagoon Cons:
    1. slides are not that great....of course they are getting a new surface, so perhaps they'll be a little easier on the bottom on the way down now.
    2. Have to lug your tube or mat all the way up the stairs to the slides and that can be a haul

All of that being said, we like each water park and usually try to visit each one when we go. Hope this helps.

Blizzard Beach if you're big into slides or have kids that would want to go the area that's good for the "too big for the kiddie area but not ready for the big slides" area. Agree that the wave pool is unimpressive.

Typhoon Lagoon for the wave pool, although the slides are fine too.

I'd recommend BB for kids from 5 to 10. The ski patrol area is perfect for kids that age.

My vote goes to BB. Much more variety of slides to choose from, but DD9 and DS6 loved Crush & gusher at TL. Wave pool at TL great, but i did constantly worry about the kids in there, even with life jackets and life guards, who by the way do their job extemley well.
