If I've chosen unwisely for where to put this, feel free to move it.
Last night, ESPN Classic ran a baseball game from April 9, 1990, between the KC Royals and the Baltimore Orioles. I didn't discover the broadcast until about the last 45 minutes, and I missed any explanation as to the importance of that game. Besides the fact that Baltimore won 7-6 in 11 innings, the only noteworthy thing I saw was that Bo Jackson was playing for KC. I just tried Googling this date and teams, and found the box score, but that's about it.
Does anyone out there have any idea why this game was significant enough for them to show it? Just curious...
