    Default Last Day

If flight time allows a last day trip to a park, mine would be: EPCOT
Meal: Tempura and Sake at the old MatsuNoMa
Ride: After taking the monorail (hopefully up front) a nice relaxing voyage on Spaceship Earth.
Show: Off Kilter (I am going to miss them this year)
Shop: Back to Japan (I love their store. Maybe more sake, too)
Purchase: There is always a pin I can't bear to be without.

    16 days to go!

On the day we go home we usually get a flight for early afternoon so we don't go to any parks. Lately we go to DTD and stop at the Earl of Sandwich. I get some bread pudding and sandwiches to take home. I also like to get some gummy candy in the Disney store in the airport

    Talking Last Day at DD

I will end up this years trip at DD also. No time for perfect last park day. I like to walk from Marketplace to West Side and then work my way back. Always a stop at HOB for a new pair of sunglasses, the Lego Store, WOD, Xmas store, Pin Traders and Art of Disney. Then a sit back with a Rum Runner and watch the boats.
Looking forward to trying the Earl. Have heard great things.

Park - Our first and last park is always MK...
Meal - Liberty Tree Tavern but that may change
Rides - Tomorrowland any ride (not sure why, but just seems like that is where we end up).

Last visit in November ended on Main St, drinking hot cocoa listening to Christmas music. (not a show or purchase but priceless!)

    Always a few tears!

Or last day must be spent (like the first day) at MK. Last ride can be almost any of my favorites. Haunted Mansion, Philharmagic, or Winnie the Pooh.
    Last meal...Cosmic Ray's
Last purchase- usually a photo album at the hotel gift shop

Well, looks like this thread is done...so here's the compiled makings of the perfect conclusion to a WDW world trip by intercot posters:

    Park ~ MK
    Meal ~ Crystal Palace
    Ride ~ Pirates
    Show ~ Wishes
    Shop ~ Emporium
Purchase ~ Candy (coconut mickey heads mentioned most)

And the second best conclusion would be

    Park ~ Epcot
    Meal ~ Ohanas
Ride ~ Space Mountain or TTA
    Show ~ Spectromagic
    Shop ~ Goofys Candy
    Purchase ~ Pins

There's a great big beautiful tomorrow

This is a great topic, but a little bit difficult to answer because each trip will always turn out differently. Nevertheless, here's an example of how an ideal vacation would end for me:

Last Park: Magic Kingdom, on the day before departure, is the best way to conclude a trip. To me Magic Kingdom is the essential start and finish to a WDW vacation, though I avoid parks on travel days.
Meal: My favorite last meal would be a character breakfast on the departure day, probably at a resort. My best experiences have been Artist Point in 1998 and Ohana in 1999.
Ride: Any ride would do, but a last night ride on Space Mountain would be my choice, though Thunder or Splash Mountain would do, or even a quick spin on the TTA!
Show: I suppose whatever fireworks show MK is showing would be ideal. I haven't seen Wishes yet.
Shop: Though the shops would probably be packed, browsing Main Street on the way out on the last full is always fun. Shopping in the gift shop of the home resort is a must before leaving. I suppose the answer is actually Downtown Disney, as it is always a good departure day stop.
Purchase: A last minute scramble to pick up any items we can still afford is the norm, but my ideal last purchase would be tickets for next year's trip! (HAHA, right!)

We finish off our last full day with a visit to MK and dinner at CP with the final ride being Splash Mountain, which is the girls' favorite.

The day that we leave is started with a final breakfast at Chef Mickey's, follwed by one last ride on the monorail before heading to the Magical Express bus.

    The perfect finish would be...

    Cool

Park, Meal, Ride, whatever.... To me that doesn't really matter. I think the perfect finish would be to book the next trip so I can restart my timer when I get home.

Tonight is our last night and unfortunately it was a far cry from what I would have wanted. We were soaked from the rain by 6:00pm and had to leave the park early. :-( If I had my choice the BEST last vacation day would be:

    Park: Magic Kingdom
Meal: Casey's Corner while waiting for Wishes
    Ride: Pirates or Splash Mountain
    Show: Spectromagic & Wishes
Shop: Emporium then Cotton Candy at the Sweet Shop

I wish tonight had been like that! We're off for home tomorrow...
    See You Real Soon!
