    Default Acadia NP/Carriage tour

Anyone taken the horse drawn carriage tour of the cobblestone bridges? I am thinking of scheduling this during an upcoming trip, but would like to talk to someone who has done it first.
    Thanks

I have been on one of the carriage rides in Acadia. We took the Day Mountain (1 hour) tour. We took my mom and dad with us. We had a great time. Our driver was knowledgeable and humorous and the scenery was gorgeous! I think you will enjoy it!

    Thumbs up

We took our two grandkids on a sunset carriage ride, I think it was, at Acadia. If I remember correctly it was 2002 so my info is not current. I think the ride was a couple of hours. I remember being a bit concerned about the length and no avialable bathroom, as our granddaughter at that time sometimes needed a bathroom NOW! But it worked out okay.

We had a great ride. Our driver was very knowledgeable. We had a seasoned horse and a newbie and they worked together well. The buggy was comfortable - a bit challenging for a short person with arthitis to climb up into. If I remember right, we 4 sat in one row of seats.

As for the cobblestone bridges tour, I don't know about that. We sure enjoyed the trip we went on.

Do you have any specific questions?
