We went October 30th last year for MNSSHP. I believe that one eventually sold out.
The longest wait time I saw all night was real early in the night right when the party did start for Space Mountain at about 30 minutes. After that hour, there were hardly any lines for anything at all. We did Space Mountain about 5 times that night within 45 minutes or so. It did also rain hard that entire night so that might have caused the low crowds, but if it does for yours, just put on a poncho and enjoy the short lines.
As far as the parade, fireworks and trick-or-treating; the rain held off for some reason for the parade and fireworks right before and throughout the entire shows so they did not cancel them. They still do the trick-or-treating even when it is raining, and at the end of the night, they are just dumping truckloads of candy into your bags. We had leftovers of that candy for almost a month.
We were there in 2006 at one of first MNSSHP and maybe because it was early (Sept we went) no joke every ride we walked right on, it was great. It was kinda wierd celebrating Halloween knowing it was still a month and half away.

weekend ones and ones in october sell out a lot quicker than the ones in sept. there arent a lot of tickets that they sell for party nights. Usually 20,000 tickets.
