Default Shipping Suitcase before you arrive?

On our past trips he have always shipped a box with a lot of little items ahead of us. This summer I was thinking about sending down my suitcase so I have one less thing to carry. (we carry a lot with two little ones) Has anyone ever done this and how did it work out for you? What manner of shipping did you use? Thanks in advance! 27 more days!

Great question and one to which I have no answer. I have never done this. I will keep watching to see if someone answers this for you.

I've only ever heard of shipping down boxes, not suitcases. I would think a box would likely still work for you.

I'd go with the box as well.

I too would stick with a box if you want to ship items in advance. I ship cases which are roughly the size of suitcases every day for business via both FedEx and UPS, and it is rare that they are actually returned to me without any sort of damage! A well-packed box will travel much better, and you won't be subject to oversize package charges that a suitcase may bring.
