Talking San Juan Puerto Rico 6/12-6/16

I had the chance to travel to San Juan over this past weekend.

I stayed at the Ritz Carlton San Juan Hotel, Spa & Casino. They were wonderful hosts.

    I really enjoyed the trip.

Here is a link to my photos:

I love San Juan... ever since I moved next door to the BVI, I've been going to San Juan every other weekend or so for shopping, sightseeing, and partying.

I'm glad to see you had a good time. My folks have a house in El Yunque, in one of the few spots that the Fed wasn't able to acquire, and it's an absolutely breathtaking area.

    El Yunque was incredibly beautiful.

Our tour guide actually mentioned that there were homes in the area that the Feds had not yet purchased but if the owners were ever to sell they would be forced to sell to the National Park Service.

The boys and I just had a good time looking through your pics. We thought the sushi boat looked really yummy!!!

Ryan said 'Mr. Bryant looks different with his hair'. I think you look the same.

You saw some gorgeous sights. Glad you had a nice time!

He was speaking of homes INSIDE the National Park.

I was born and raised in PR so I really enjoyed your pictures I have to admit they made me a little homesick. Pictures of the rainforest and Old San Juan always make me smile. Most of my family is still there so we are fortunate enough to go every Christmas for 2-3 weeks. Hopefully airfare and extra fees will not get too far out of hand so that we can continue to go.

The pictures were beautiful. My family and I were in PR in September 2007.

I live in the US VIrgin Islands which is a 35 minute or less plane ride east of PR. A 50 minute boat ride west of the BVI as well.

Maybe your PR trip will inspire you to explore the caribbean.

    Thanks so much!!!

I have been to Jamaica( ) and Cuba (don't tell anyone , actually Guantanamo, which is allowed)

Anguilla is on my "blue sky" list of destinations. I want to go there to explore the "old" Caribbean.

Back in April my DH, DD, DS and I went for the first time to PR for a week. We stayed at the El Conquistador resort and spa. Our trip was amazing as well. We were just amazed with the beauty that surrounded us. Both of my kids actually hesitated a little when we asked them Disney or PR for our next years trip. Of course in the end the mouse won! Glad you had a good time.

Hey, it's great to hear you guys had a great time here in PR. I actually live here in a beach town almost all my life. The view from my bedroom window is El Yunque Rainforest. Hope you visit again soon!!!
