    Default POR Trundle Beds

We are visiting WDW in March 2009. We are a family of 5. Our kids at time of travel will be DS 16, DD 13, DD 13. I am wondering if we should bring a blow up mattress rather than use the trundle bed. My girls aren't small dainty; all my kids weigh over 100 pounds. We thought about renting connecting rooms at one of the All Star Resorts but we won't be spending much time in the room except to sleep.

I need opinions of which we should do. The price difference isn't much between two rooms at AllStar or POR. I am trying to decide and it's driving me nuts.

I think you will be fine with the trundle bed. We happened to have a trundle once while traveling with my parents a few years back at POR. I was 21 and my sister was 19 at the time. The trundle was so comfortable my sister and I took turns sleeping on it. She is 5'10" and slept comfortably on it. To me it was just the same as my twin bed in my college dorm.

It's about like a twin bed. I actually, laid on it to see how it felt and thought it felt little more comfy than the bed. I'm 5'3. My 3 kids fight over who gets to sleep on it. I have 1 ds and 2 dd's. I think it'll be fine but, if you're still unsure pack the blowup just in case.

Just wondering if you have tried to make the reservations at POR? I tried to make them for POR AB with 3 teens and 2 adults and was not allowed to -- was told they were too old for the trundle. This was in 2006.

Also, we take a twin size air mattress for one of the kids now (normally we have only 2 older teens with us). We just flip it on end against the wall during the day.

We're doing 2 connecting rooms at POP instead of the trundle at POR. We have a DS 14, DS 12, & DD 4. DS 12 and DD are teeny tiny, but we still thought we'd be too cramped in one room. We did it 2 years ago, but DD was in a crib, so the space wasn't too bad.

Anyway, we like the idea of 2 rooms, 4 beds, and 2 bathrooms.

The trundle bed will be fine, it's really about the size of a twin bed and just slides out of the way when not in use. I'm sure you'll be fine !!

We were able to book the room but were warned that if anything was to happen to the trundle bed because of my kids size we would be responsible.

I have thought about connecting rooms at an AS resort because it would be nice to be able to spread out.
