    Default AP block out dates

I just got the Mickey Monitor in the mail today. On the last page, it lists block out dates for 2008. Is this something new? Were there block out dates last year? What does that even mean? Can I not go to the parks with my AP on those dates or can I just not use my discount for room rates or something?

I am curious as to when the blackout dates are because I have been thinking of an AP and did not know there were dates you couldn't use it.

An AP has no blackout dates, how ever the seasonal pass does.

I am an AP holder as well. As far as I know, the Blockout Dates apply only to Florida Resident Seasonal Passholders. Per the WDW website, AP holders are entitled to:

    Annual Pass
    Includes:
    • 365 days of magic in all four Walt Disney World® Theme Parks
    • Same day admission to all four Walt Disney World® Theme Parks
    • Theme Park parking
    • Special Passholder discounts and offers

The only mention of Blockout Dates are here:

    Florida Resident Seasonal Pass
    Includes:
    • Year-long magic in all four Walt Disney World® Theme Parks (Block-out dates apply)
    • Same day admission to all four Walt Disney World® Theme Parks
    • Special Passholder discounts and offers

Sorry. The newsletter says Seasonal Block-Out Dates. I didn't notice that. I guess that's referring to the seasonal Florida passholder. I didn't know we even received the same newsletter as them. This was my first newsletter, so I was a little overexcited. My husband says everyone will think I'm an idiot. He's making fun of me now, telling me we need a separate ID for me, so he's not associated with it.

No one thinks you're an idiot. Disney is full of mysteries, quirks, hidden policies, unspoken rules, misconceptions, fine print, seasonal changes, etc., etc.!! That's why there are discussion forums.

He was just joking. I'm sure I've called him an idiot a million times. We just laugh. I guess we're quirky.
