    Exclamation Resorts Closed?!?!?

So I have heard that WDW resorts are at full-capacity now due to free dining...I had some friends who called WDW directly and that is what they were told?? Make any sense????

All I know is I hope I get my #1 pick
Summer '90 Disneyland as a kid with my parents and grandmother

August '08 POR with DH and DS

January '14 CSR with just DH

November '14 CBR with DH, DS, DN (dear niece)

Highly unlikely. If there was going to be a problem with having the resorts completely full, Disney would cut back the number of rooms available for the free dining plan offer.

They will always have a percentage of each type of resort available for those who make plans less than 5 months out from their vacations.

A possible answer to this is that the number of rooms set aside for the Disney Visa cardholders for the free dining promotion are now booked. The only set aside a certain number of rooms for each type of discount. Other discounts would be available and some more rooms will come on line once the public discount is made available - reportedly on Thursday. If Disney were at 100% capacity, as stated above, they would not even be offering "free" dining.

I would agree with the others that just that particular block of rooms that were set aside for the particular program they inquired about are sold out. It is highly unlikely that Disney would continue offering the package if ALL rooms at ALL prices were sold out across the ENTIRE property.

They should try calling back and not asking for the dining package and see if they can get a room. Or better yet, call Magical Journeys and let them book the room and then if Disney does open up more dining plan rooms MJ will do battle on behalf of their clients for those rooms.

I called WDW today to see about making a reservation in September during the free dinning time periord and the woman told me a quote for the AKL and POFQ and she said there was plenty of rooms open during the second week of September for this special.

I doubt it, Disney tends to psyche people out to get them to book right away so that they make money. Sometimes I find the people you talk to directly at Disney are a little clueless too, they give you two options generally in Deluxe or Moderate. You're better off telling them directly what you want, including room location, and then they do input what you want. Its almost better to do your own research right down all the specifics, call a Disney person and then book under your specifics. They tried to pull that book now or you won't get a reservation [stuff] on me when I was inquiring about the second week of January 2009.

I booked my trip last year in AUGUST, to go September 20th. I got a room at CBR no prob. September has the least tourism in Florida, and Disney had more adults than kids when I was there. It was not much wait for anything. Don't worry about it. I mean I wouldn't recommend ever leaving your reserving to the last minute, however its usually easy to get a room. Remember that there are like usually 1800 rooms per resort at the moderates. Deluxes maybe 1000 and under. Thats a lot of rooms.
