Another Concierge Planner ?

We have stayed concierge before and have recieved the planner e-mail. Just wondering when I should be watching for their first contact for our upcoming October trip. We leave October 12 for the Beach Club. I read in another post that someone else is going in October and has already recieved an e-mail. Thanks for any info!

There is definitely no guarantee that you'll get any contact in advance. There just doesn't seem to be a reliable system setup within Disney. Technically, you can start booking your 180 day ADR's on April 15th. If you haven't received a planner within the next 2 weeks, I would go ahead and initiate an e-mail to them. Especially if you have "must have" dining reservations. You want to get those in as soon as possible.

We are staying Concierge at the Poly in May, and I never received any response to my e-mail. About 5 days before my ADR's were due, I called them. Somehow they had logged it under an old work e-mail address. They got it all straight and everything is now ready for May...they just needed a little help getting started.

Thanks for the responses! Last time we did concierge (two years ago) I was so surprised when I did get a "Welcome" e-mail from them w/ the questionnaire attached. I generally make my own ADR's (control freak!) but I do want to do the Club Level Safari again so I want to have them book that. I have my countdown clock running!

I personally like concierge for the comfort of knowing someone's there to help us w/ anything when on site. They were terrific when we got caught down there during an east coast blizzard. If it hadn't been for the concierge staff, we would have gone to the airport and been stuck there for 48 hours. They got us safely tucked back into our same room to wait out the storm. We were all sick and time on an airport floor wouldn't have been good.
