We are going to be booking a trip for our high school drama club some time in the spring of 2008. Does anyone have any suggestions how to go about it? I've done my own trips but nothing this major. Any help is appreciated.
It depends on how many you have going. If you have enough, you can try the Magical Gatherings program. No matter what, as is always the case, I'd trust Magical Journeys to help get it booked.

They should be able to help you with ANY questions you have.
There are agencies that specialize in Youth Groups as well. We do not do dedicated Youth Groups due to the HIGH liabiilty and the HIGH liabillity insurance rates that are associated with these types of groups. It is a specialty all its own. We may do groups if there is going to be a parent with them, but high school usually they do not..

Speaking from experience, these Youth programs are great. I just returned Tuesday (because of our Mardi Gras holiday) from a trip with my students. We do a YES program in science, but they also have programs for drama and other subjects. They are very well organized, and highly related to the subject matter. Just let me know if you have any more specific questions. Check out the website posted above. Enjoy!

I can also speak from experience. I have run 2 Boy Scout trips - the most recent was June 2007.
The YES programs are well worth it. And you get an excellent deal on park admission too. If your group is tax exempt in Florida- you can save even more.
We camped, but I believe they have rates available for the value resorts.
They do offer assistance for meals, but I chose to book my own meals through Group Dining (not the Youth Programs section).
Let us know if you have more questions.

My mom and I were the planners of my high school orchestra's trip for Magic Music Days a few years ago. We went directly through the Disney Youth Program website and they were wonderful. Coming from a large metro area high school with very little funding we weren't sure that the trip would become a reality. The folks at Disney were very helpful in working with our students' limited budgets and were able to get us discounted rates at All Star Music as well as discounted meal coupons. It was a wonderful experience all around and I would highly recommend using the Disney Youth website.
