    Default Anyone use Priceline?

We're going to WDW in early December, but flights from CA to FL are costly. Has anyone named their own price? I don't know how risky it would be.

I've never done the 'name your price' thing, but I did use Priceline in October of 2007. We were pleased.

I haven't used them, but I wanted to point out that Priceline is an INTERCOT affiliate, so if you use this link and actually book, it benefits the site.

I would be leary about naming your own price for airfare. I personally did not use it for that reason but my Aunt did and ended up with 2 connecting flights. They get you the cheapest price for sure but the hassle of unknowing. I like to fly straight through. I did however use them for a rental car while in Florida one year and named my price of $15 per day plus taxes, it was accepted! We ended up with a PT Cruiser which was not bad. I would rethink the airfare part.

we have used them twice - we didn't do the name your own price thing we just bought the tix - i have had no problems with them but just last saturday my return flight was switched to a flight with a connection and they couldn't help at all - they said it was something i would have to go through the airline for - which made sense - i contacted the airline and they switched me to a non stop flight as i originally had - so it worked out

I've never done it with airfare, but I have with hotel rooms and I have always been pleased with the results. I would consider it for airfare on my next trip, so I'll have to keep checking here for more of others' experiences.

No, but looked at it for this trip. But the not knowing was not good. They said our flights could be as early as 6am or as late as a midnight red eye flight. And possible multiple connections. Too much uncertainty for my personal comfort. I hear you can get decent deals on rooms thru them though, but again, too much uncertainty.

My husband travels for a living and his company wants them to travel CHEAP. He uses Priceline all of the time. He's used several different travel sites over the past 3 years and says it's the best. He gets great rates and has never had a problem.
