Where did you find the acceptable formats that you listed? When I checked the official rules it only lists three formats. Am I missing something? I appreciate all of the help and get wait to get entered!! This is definately a dream come true for all true disney fans!!

It tells these details of what formats are allowed for the video. It also has links to the official rules once you click on that.

I see the official rules say maximum of 100 MB while the video page says only 50MB... hmmm.

Thank you so much!! This makes things so much easier!! I saw the 100/50 MB difference as well. I guess I'll keep it under 50 just to be safe! Good luck to all that apply. I've had more fun making the video and dreaming that I ever could have imagined!!

Really? if someone sings even w/o music you think they will disqualify them? Of course, if I sang on mine, they would disqualify my terrible singing LOL! That makes sense though, b/c they are so protective of copyright. Those of you that haven't see the app, they ask you about your background, degree, etc, it really was like interviewing for a job! (Mine is in PR, so I hope that puts me in the possible pile, too!)

Oh no!!!

I thought when it said "NO Music" that it meant no copywritten background music. Both of my daughters are singing at one point. Granted it was only a few seconds and may fit into the "fair use of a sample" category because it was done in parody... somewhat... heck I thought is was funny. I hope I don't get disqualified...

I wasn't saying you for sure will.
I hope you don't get disqualified because of that.

I just noticed that there were a lot of people singing songs and was wondering if they would count that and disqualify them after I read the no music requirement.

I was very careful when I did mine because it said that... I would have liked to have used some Disney songs as part of my video too.

I can't get my video to upload. It's a avi file and it's only 15.6 MB. I'm hoping there might be something wrong with their website and it will work tomorrow. Glad I gave myself a few days to work this out. Anyone else having trouble?

I did an MPG file, so not sure on AVI, doesn anyone have a suggestion for her? Maybe it was the system at that time.

mine was an avi, and it uploaded fine.
I haven't seen any email confirmations though.
Did anyone get one?

My video was uploaded before some of the dates on other peoples videos, and yet, mine hasn't shown up yet.
It makes me nervous.

The only thing I can think of, is that maybe the site was really busy when you tried to upload the file?
Did it give you any specific error?

I never received a confirmation email but I did check and my video is on the website. About 1.5 days after I submitted it.

It was a lot of fun making a video and filling out the application. Here's hoping someone from Intercot makes it to the finals!

I got it to work this morning, not sure what was up with the website last night, maybe it was my computer, I did it at work this morning. I haven't received any email, but I hope soon I'll see my video up on the website. Here crossing my fingers!!

The site does not send confirmation e-mails, it just gives a confirmation "thank-you" style screen when your video successfully uploads. It then takes a couple of days for your video to appear online. I've noticed that new videos tend to apprear in a batch every afternoon. So keep on the lookout for yours. Also, the 25 per page format of the online videos displayed appear in randomized order. Once you click on any video, and after it plays through, a "time line displays blow the video with about 5 videos per page, using the next & previous buttons you can scroll through to find specific videos - using this method, the newer videos appear first and the ones submitted weeks ago are toward the end (like mine). If you submitted your video 4 days ago or more and you don't see your video yet, I'd re-submit, the rules say that duplicates will be discarded - but if you're not sure they received it yet, it is better to be safe than sorry. You've got to be in it to win it!!!

I got the confirmation on the screen after the upload.
I put mine up on the 19th and it hasn't shown up yet.

Thanks for your encouragement.
I just resubmitted and put a little explanation in the "Where did you hear about this" box, saying that it was a resubmit because my video hadn't gone up yet after a week, and that if it is a duplicate, to just disregard...

I'd hate to lose my chance because of a technical error....

OK - broke down and sent one yesterday afternoon about 5:30. Not up yet - hoping it is up today. May have to resubmit later
tonight.

Making the video was a lot of fun. DW and DD helped and they got a kick seeing me make a fool of myself. I just hope it posts.
