    Thumbs up

OK, thanks for setting me straight. I guess I missed both season 1 and 2 and wasn't even aware of the show during season 1.
When did the new producers come on board? Right after season 1?
I still feel that a lot of us watch this tacky show in large part because the inappropriate behavior makes our families look normal.

Just watched the first 2 episodes which I had taped and so far I am not liking this new season. I will give it a few more episodes and hope it grows on me.

I think Jen was an idiot for already spilling the beans. It's just a matter of time before the whole house knows now.

Sheila and Adam are totally obnoxious.

Don't feel bad ... not many people were aware of it. Hence the new producers being brought in.

And yes, Alison Grodner came in after season 1 to "revitalize" the show (which apparently meant tart it up to the point that people would watch).

I still feel that a lot of us watch this tacky show in large part because the inappropriate behavior makes our families look normal.
The first season of Big Brother was modeled after the version in the UK. which didn't seem to work so well in the U.S. Many considered season one very boring ... though I liked it. One of the problems was the first season was it was on TV too many days per week which didn't give the production nearly enough time to make the shows interesting. The editing and production was very basic. I still have season one on tape, and when I've gone back and watched it, you really notice how much slower the show moved.

I believe the UK has a Big Brother channel when the show is on ... They also get away with showing a lot more then they do here in the U.S. Though I read that many of the other countries that do Big Brother say the U.S. version has the best games and challenges. It is impressive how much they rework that backyard.

I have enjoyed the show since the start, and don't really consider it a tacky show ... maybe some of the people who have been on the show. I enjoy that Big Brother is one of the true "real-time" reality shows. Most reality shows are shot weeks, if not months before you see it on TV. Big Brother is happening right now, and you can watch everyday at home, if you choose. The producers can only fit so much into 3 episodes a week.

Big Brother is really a 24 hour show where anything can happen, and it usually does. Every season the contestants throw the producers a few curve balls which causes them to have to change one or more parts of the show. This season has already been the norm in that respect. The results of that should be shown on tonights show.

Most of the people I know, including myself, who have been watching the show a long time just want to see regular people in the house playing the game. Some of these twist that involve relatives, ex-lovers, twins, brothers and sisters and what not, don't seem to go over well with many fans of the show.

Autism group demands apology from CBS 2

A national autism group is demanding an apology from CBS over a disparaging remark a contestant on the reality show "Big Brother" made about people with the disorder.

John Gilmore, executive director of Autism United, says his group has been trying to speak with CBS executives since the show aired last Tuesday.

On the show, a contestant named Adam, who said he works for an autism foundation, said he would spend his winnings on a hair salon for people with developmental disabilities "so retards can get it together and get their hair done." The Web site for the show describes him as a 29-year-old public relations manager from Del Ray Beach, Fla.

His remark shocked his partner, Sheila, who replied, "Don't call them that."

Adam responded by saying, "Disabled kids. I can call them whatever I want. I work with them all day, OK?"

A call to CBS was not immediately returned.

Is this the most annoying bunch of people ever this season or is it just me?

Jen opening her big mouth caused her and her boyfriend to get put up. I would not have told a single soul. I am glad one of them will be going home. I hope it is her. I do feel sorry for her team mate though

The 2 gals pretending to be lesbians, that is going to help their game how? And the one, Sheila, I could just slap her with that mouth of hers.

I was so looking forward to the show and now I am wondering how much longer I can bear to watch.

I have been watching BB After Dark on Sho Time and its actually pretty entertaining last season was a bit boring most of the time.

I think the problem so far is what they have shown so far on TV was all before the first episode of BB even aired. Except for nominations everything else seems to have a big delay of at least 5 days which is annoying. I could tell this since the first night BBAD was on which was the Tuesday of the premier everybody in the house already knew Ryan and Jen were a couple. So that is kind of annoying how big of a gap in time there is.

I still don't understand how this whole team thing is going to play out I don't like the idea it seems most of the teams don't even like each other so I have no idea where BB got the idea that they were sole mates. It appears only a couple of them are really close. Something I also don't like is this double eviction I don't know how that will make for a full season.

Something that is strange though is my guess is that they will be taking away the team aspect of the game eventually since they keep saying someone will walk away with $500,000 not a team. So they have left it singular so I'm guessing they will do away with teams eventually I guess its just a matter of when.

Wow ... that's pretty shocking to hear someone say last season was boring. I thought it was the best season of BB to date.

Anyway ... this crew is really annoying. I can't possibly imagine finding any one of these people to root for. Virtually every one of them is just incredibly whiny and irritating.

Starting with that big, pointless hullabaloo over Jen saying she was put on the wall first because she was going to win. I can't believe that, not only did everyone else get all worked up, but Jen actually felt compelled to apologize. What's wrong with these people??? So, Jen showed a little cockiness ... big deal.

And then the complete and total drama from that Allison girl. What a nutjob. She knew Ryan for like 10 minutes before she found out he and Jen were dating ... how could she possibly be that jealous. Ridiculous ... and that INANE "we're lesbians" thing she has going with Sheila ... how in the WORLD did they come up with that sub-moronic idea???

And speaking of Sheila, I really struggle trying to decide who I like the least ... is it Sheila or Adam? Just when I start feeling sorry for Adam for the way Sheila berates him, he opens his mouth and reminds me what a total moron he is. Honestly, if this guy is actually in PR I'd be amazed. Personally, I think he works at Wal-Mart.

And Matt, with that fingernails-on-the-blackboard Boston accent ... he's like a Boston Rob wanna-be.

The only two I like at this point are Neil and Joshuah. Thus far they haven't done anything to irritate me. But I'm sure it's coming, based on how everyone else is behaving.

I really wonder where they find these people. This show has honestly become like network Real World ...

I also thought last season was pretty good. One thing I notice every year since the show started is lots of people say this is the most boring season ever. For some reason the current season is always more boring, or not as good as the season before. I have heard that for the last 8 years watching this show, so I just come to expect it. Usually once people get to know the cast better, the boring comments go away.

I think Jen will go into the Big Brother hall of shame along with Marcellus and others who have made stupid moves in this game. There are so many other things Jen could have told Parker why she didn't want him to put up Ryan and Allison. The last thing she should have done was told anyone, including her partner, she and Ryan were dating. She could have said she trust them, and wants to work with them, or something. Once the word was out they were were a couple, they should have known the entire house would be against them.

Also Jen and her picture thing ... sure it is OK to be confident, or even make a joke, but in the beginning of Big Brother you never want to draw so much attention to yourself, or in this case, you and your partner. I've see so many players put a bullseye on themselves right from the start. Jen (last season) did the same thing when she started crying about not liking her picture. You don't want to give anyone a reason not to like you so quickly. Maybe it's a "Jen" thing.

Honestly, I think she wanted people to know so she and Ryan could be open about it.

From what I've heard, they wasted no time "making themselves comfortable" once the cat was out of the bag.

Me too, Karen. You lasted longer then I did. I clicked it off halfway through the first episode after seeing how they were hooking everyone up. Not my idea of reality TV and I do watch the Real World.

I won't post any details, but traditionally Big Brother has far less "hooking up", then the Real World does (I watch both). At least a couple of the female pairs on this Big Brother at this point have told her partners there will be nothing going on between them.

I realize that Chris - and it's usually with strangers after a night in the bar. The show has always been like that. I know that going in. Some seasons more then others. I prefer the others.

My point is --- that's not what Big Brother is about for me and I don't like this new premise. It may be for some - great. It's just not why I watch Big Brother. No right - no wrong - just my opinion.

From what I've read online, this is allegedly one of the most ... uh ... "hormonal" groups they've ever had on the American version of Big Brother.

Apparently, there's been more "hooking up" thus far on this season than there has been in all the other BB seasons combined. There's also been quite a bit of general "partying", too, from what I've read.

Lots of drinking and time spent in the hot tub in varying stages of dress, if you know what I mean.

Totally makes sense to me, maybe matching people up, made it easier to hook up?

I didn't mean the entire season as a whole was boring. I meant from watching the BB After Dark was boring most of the time last season. So far this season while watching BB After Dark has been pretty intresting to watch. Last season I got board watching it.

Overall I thought last season was pretty good. They just didn't always put on a show for ShoTime like this cast seems to have been doing most nights lol

Ok, I just don't understand how the Sheila thing can work to their advantage, unless she thinks that it will put her in a better light for being so negative about being placed with Adam. I was kind of glad that no one used the veto, I am anxious to see who will go home.

Interesting show last night lol I'm glad they finally seem to be catching up to current show but they are still a few days behind but not as much as they were.

I really don't understand Parker at all. He is up on the block and keeps picking fights with people. What in the world would make you think its a good idea to get into a fight with somebody else when your up on the block? That is almost a guarantee that they wont vote for you when you go attack somebody like that. I just don't understand him. He sits and blames Jen for the position he is in but I really don't think she is fully to blame he needs to learn to watch his mouth.

Chris, I totally agree about Parker, I was shocked when he kept picking fights last night, I really think that he was starting to think that he didn't want to play the game anymore with Jen. He had to know that they were going to be the ones to go home.
