CBS has confirmed the debut date for the first-ever non-summer edition of Big Brother. The ninth season will debut Feb. 12, according to a CBS press release.

The show will air Tuesdays at 9, Wednesdays at 8, and Sundays at 8, a slightly different schedule than the summer edition, which aired its eviction episodes on Thursday evenings. CBS also confirmed that “Julie Chen returns as host of the live weekly eviction broadcast.”
Producers are currently holding open casting calls for the new season, which will not feature America’s Player.

Big Brother is my favorite reality show so I was very happy to hear this!

While Big Brother is my favorite reality show, I'm not really happy about having more then one episode per year.

I have always subscribed to the live internet feed and follow the show very closely on several Big Brother sites. I also go to special chats, while I'm watching the live feed ... There are several people I've been chatting with about the show since the very first Big Brother aired in 2000. While I enjoy all of it, I find myself looking forward to the 9 month break between shows.

Of course I will still watch the 9th edition, but my wife won't be happy I'm sitting at the computer monitoring the live feed again.

I am excited for the show to start again. Last season was the first that I really got into it and can't wait to watch it again. I'm not a big fan of shows being only on during the summer I can't take those 9 month waits like I have on so many of the shows.

I hope they have BB After Dark on showtime again this year never realized how much I watched it till the show was over and I had nothing else to watch

My question now is if it starts in February the show normally runs for around 3 months so if it does that it will end at the beninning of May. So when will it return again after that? Are we going to see it start at the beginning of July or will it be all the way till the next year?

I also noticed that once again Sho2 will have Big Brother After Dark for all those of you who watched that last year.

I hope we get some good players, strong personalities. Last season may have been my favorite.

I think Big Brother going to be really strange at first without Dick. He sure did make things interesting!

I am excited to see the new season. It will feel weird though with it not being the summer right now. Although today here in Baltimore, it feels like summer, we are sitting at 70 degrees!

In addition to having photos of the cast. TV guide online also has pictures of the new house. The design is kind of like a cabin. Everything has been redone for the winter season ... including heat lamps added to the backyard.

The house looks pretty cool I like the way they have it set up this year

They have added a pool table which I'm sure the house guests will be happy about one thing I noticed last year near the end while watching the live feeds is they complained several times about being board.

I was reading Jacob's bio, and he's lived all the places I have. Cool! The cast seems really young again, with the token older lady (who has a very interesting past).

I don't think there will ever be another player like Evel Dick. I think it just won't be the same1 That said, I am so glad the writers went on strike so we can get a double-dose!!

I have watched every season of Big Brother - but I will not be watching this one. I saw the first episode tonight and have no interest in watching "Love Connection". Not to mention everyone was obnoxious.

All the more space on the TiVo.

Yeah that seems kind of strange not sure how it will be. I dont understand having everybody as couples. It seems with them getting eliminated together that will cause for a shortened season. I dont see how they could have a full length season with two being eliminated each week.

I do have to agree a few of them were very very annoying especially the older lady I think her name was Shelia she was very rude about being paired with Adam she just wouldn't let it go kept talking behind his back and they had just gotten in the house.
