    Default question about kid club

My kids would be 6 1/2 and just turned 9 if I would go when I want. They would be separated if they went to the kids club, correct??? Is there any way to get my 9 year old into the younger club as I know my 6 1/2 year old would not stay without her sister... well to be honest, i can't see the 9 year old staying without her sister either.

I used to work in the Club and yes they can move your older daughter down if requested and even though now one won't stay without the other they may change their minds when they get there just remember that though your 6.5 year old will be in the 5-7 group there will be times where there will be 3 year olds in the room doing the same activity. Hope this helps let me know if there is anything else I can help you with

Would the same principle apply for teenagers? My 12 year old turns 13 one month before we leave on the cruise. He'll have several brothers and cousins in the 8-12 age group, and could possibly have more fun with their group.

They really do their best to accomodate families. With moving up in an age group, they like to meet the child and just be sure that they're able to handle being with an older crowd. I think it's a little trickier with moving down. Not so much on the part of the club, but on the child. The activities are geared towards a certain age group. A 9 year old moving out of the lab, into the club is probably going to be very boring. The club is fun, with it's Pirate ship to play on and dress up area, but your 9 year old might have a better time playing Disney trivia in Studio Sea or helping Kim Possible save Castaway Cay.

Mom & Dad are more than welcome to play with their kids, maybe it would be better to have you hanging out with your younger daughter until she makes some friends and feels comfortable being on her own for a little while. You obviously know your children the best, but you might be surprised to discover how independent they can be of each other on the cruise. To help things along, I would try to have them at the club when it first opens. It just seems easier to form those early friendships right away.

From our personal experience, my daughter was right on the border line for moving up and she wanted to because her cousin would be in that group. The counsellors said it was fine, but she ended up making friends her first day there and never once hung out with her cousin. So, you just never know.
