    Default Random Question

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to make VMK show up full screen? F11 only puts it up in the corner and the rest of the screen is black. Just wondering. It would be great to enlarge the picture.

Are our itty bitty eyes having trouble seeing those teeny tiny people? (Mine certainly do!)
I wear "cheaters" and it makes everything look bigger! But yeah, I wonder too if there is a way?

I've never been able to figure it out either. If you go directly to the log-in page, it does fill the entire computer screen, but most of it's still black! I guess we could all get giant monitors to use....what's the largest they make?

Hmm I don't think there is any way to make it bigger. I know how you feel though when I use my laptop it is so difficult to see things sometimes

You can adjust your screen resolution but that will make all your windows large till you change it back. I'll guess most of you are using XP and give directions for that.

    Go to My computer

    Click on control panel

    Click on Display

    Click on settings

There you will see a scroll bar with numbers (refer to pic below).. the lower you set the numbers the bigger your picture on screen will be.

    Alright Mr. Smarty Pants..

    Oh look! JP stew!!

Notice he offered nothing in the way of advise. Let's ask what he does for a living, shall we?

So, did this work for anyone? Was I any help or was I only a source of computer frustration?

Since Patti said her's was for Vista, for XP:

    1) Start
    2) Control Panel
    3) Appearence and Themes
    4) Change the Screen Resolution
    5) Settings Tab
    6) Play with the sliding bar to find the right fit

Actually Fan.. I said my instructions were for XP, but it was similar if you are running Vista and needed help. heh.

I'll take this line out.. to save anyone any confusion.

I guess I need directions to read directions. School doesn't help that

Why are my directions different than yours then?

Thank you, Patti and Fan. Oh, and Patti, please be nice to JP, I am sure he would have helped out if he had known the answer. hehe.

True Pink, he would have.. I hoped my solution helped.

Fan, every version of an operating system has slight variations. Depends when you came in on it as they are always making them better with upgrades.. supposedly.

I do like Vista so far. Very user friendly.

After I had my wonderful eye surgery this summer, you know, the one that would actually help me see better by removing scar tissue, I had a terrible time seeing VMK. Ok, i had a terrible time seeing anything!

I not only adjusted my screen resolution, but I also bought a magnifying glass so I could read. Unfortunately, even with the magnifying glass I missed a lot of what was going on.

    Yup!

My new glasses, which were a mere $1,000, have my vision at 20/80. This means I can again!

I do, however, get to have the surgery again because the scar tissue build-up is creating more pressure.

I do have to say that this thing has been very depressing. After about a week after my surgery in June, I could see so well. I even rented a car at WDW so I could drive to Daytona to watch my niece dance, and win, her last national competition. When I got back to the dry air here in Colorado, the problems snuck up on me and my vision once again got worse. I mean, I could go to DLR and bug Cat with that grand I spent on new glasses. Life has improved with the new specs, and will get much better, hopefully, when I have my next surgery (which I hope to put off until summer cause I can't afford to miss work!).

Pink, sorry I hijacked your thread.
