    Default Rehab/Refurb Question

We're headed to WDW the first week in February & I just read that Splash Mountain will be closed until the 15th (a week after we return home). It is DD5's favorite ride. We told her the news & she's disappointed, but realizes there are tons of other fun things to do. Does WDW have any history of completing rehabs/refurbs early? It would have to be 6 days early for us to benefit. Just curious....Any insight is appreciated!

Sorry, but don't get your hopes up. It happens, but not very often, and not more than one or two days in advance where they might do random soft or test openings. These kinds of seasonal refurbs tend to last for the whole time they're scheduled for, and sometimes even longer.

Don't worry though, there is sooo much to do at WDW, even with a major attraction down like Splash Mountain, you shouldn't miss too much.

Occasionally refurbs are completed early but don't count on it. More often, the time frame for the refurb is changed - but don't count on that either. Regardless, you will still have a great time! We missed both HM and SSE (both favorites of ours) due to their recent refurbs and still had a fantastic trip.

That's the great thing about WDW one or two attractions being down doesn't ruin the trip o lessen the experience
