Default Year of 100 Questions: #57

For this question, we'll pit a couple of Epcot World Showcase restaurants against each other again. Which would you choose: England's Rose and Crown Pub or Germany's Biergarten?

Y100Q58 will appear in Vacation Planning, probably on Friday.

Tough choice, as neither place seems to have too appealing menus, though fish and chips are okay. I'll go with Rose and Crown.

    Default Biergarten

I vote Biergarten because it's a family tradition. I've eaten there almost as many times as I've been to Walt Disney World. Never been to Rose and Crown, not that I wouldn't try it, but the Biergarten is high on our list of must dos. Going with my family growing up we always went, and now that I'm married DH loves it too, so there's no contest.

I haven't eaten at either restaurant, but I chose R&C simply because of the view of Illuminations!

I chose Rose & Crown because I love to get seated outside & watch Illuminations. Plus it doesn't hurt that they always make me a Vegetarian Cottage Pie. I have heard lots of good things about Biergarten, though. I just never have been there.

Remy: You gotta taste this! This is... oh, it's got this kind of... mmm, it's burny, it's melty... it's not really a smoky taste. It's kind of like a certain... Pshah! It's got like this " Ba-boom! Zap!" kind of taste. Dont you think? What would you call that flavor?
    Emile: Lightningy?

While I love the UK and I'm sure Rose and Crown has lovely views there is nothing on their menu to suit my taste. I could eat (and drink) at Biergarten all day however!

This was another tough choice - I like both, but...
I voted for R&C. Gotta have me those Black & Tans ! The menu and the view aren't bad, either.

I am a big R&C fan! DH LOVES it, loves the food, and I have never had better or more friendly service anywhere in the World.

We look DD there for lunch last time, and she loved being in a "real" British pub...the beer selection can't be beat either!

Have eaten at both and liked both, but I liked R&C a little more, plus the Illumination view doesn't hurt either

Gotta love the food and entertainment at Biergarten. We're trying R&C for the first time this trip, but currently Biergarten is a must do for every trip.

There are 20 fish and chip shops and probably twice as many English pubs within a mile of my house so Biergarten wins it for me.

DW and I love the R&C Pub, we haven't actually eaten in the restaurant, but the Pub is high on our list. We are trying Beirgarten for the 1st time in two weeks, so after that our favor may change, but for now R&C for us.

I haven't tried either one, but I picked Biergarten, I'm not sure why. The atmosphere seems more unique, I suppose.

I've eaten at Biergarten, and DH and I didn't really care for it. It wasn't horrible...you just have to REALLY like German food. Though, the show was great!
