New Children's Beverage Policy at Table-Service Restaurants

Thirsty children will soon get a break at Walt Disney World. The theme park has announced a new policy for its table-service restaurants.

Disney announced this morning that its table-service restaurants will start providing free refills on children's drinks, including juices, milk, bottled water and soda, starting May 31.

The free-refill policy will not apply to specialty drinks.

I thought they already gave refills on non-packaged drinks like soda and milk with kids meals? Great news for those of us with thirsty kids!

Sounds good to me! August is going to be HOT and we'll need those refills. We've run into servers who would refill and some who wouldn't. I never understood why a restaurant won't refill kids drinks if it's okay with the parents. It's not like it's costing the restaurant that much to refill by the time they fill half the glass with ice!

I was under the same impression as well.

Apparently the soon-to-be former Children's Beverage Policy did not include complimentary re-fills; however, some servers either choose to not abide by it or were not made aware of it.

Yes, most adult beverages have always provided complimentary refills. Similarly to the new kid's beverage policy, this does not include specialty drinks.
