Cars Characters

Hi there,
We are headed down in May and I have two big fans of Cars. They are expecting to see them at the parks and I was wondering if this is possible. Do they have any characters out from Cars?

Hold on tight cause they are awsome. They are in the back of MGM. They drive out to meet you. Sound, lights, music, they are cool. Its Mater and Lightin. Have fun and enjoy!

i noticed when the cars first come out, there is a big crowd around them. if you can wait about 10 minutes, it will really die down and you can get some great pictures with them. they have attendants just like the others, and you can ask them how long they'll be out. they now appear right in front of the drew carey thing. last year they went out in front of the hat. the times they come out are listed in each day's time guide that is in the park brochure for the day, so you can check that out and be sure not to miss them!

The Cars location can change, so make sure to check the Times Guide handed out with the maps. They are really neat, though they can really draw crowds.

At the studios you can see them Lightening and Mater....your park map/schedule should tell you where and when you can see them....

In November/December there was also a set for taking pictures with Lightening (cut out) inside the Magic of Animation building. The kids got a kick out of that too!

I don't think this is a regular deal, but we had some friends go to Disney World in either late February or Early March, sorry I don't remember which. But anyway, they had pictures they took of Mater and Lightening in the Magic Kingdom near the entrance to Arial's Grotto.

They said this was not listed in the schedules that were handed out that day and that they did not see them there any other time that week. I mention this because you never know when characters might pop up unexpectedly.

Thanks. We're going in July and would love to see Lightning and Mater. This has become our family's #1 movie. Watched it more times than we can count.

When we were there in September it was an absolute mob scene around Lightning and Mater. There are no structured lines at all, the CM's are just there to escort them out.

I was glad we saw them, but I wish they would treat it like a regular character meet and organize it a little.

Maybe they have since September??
