Yep, me too :) Got an email first thing this morning that free dining was added to our package -- and we check in 9/19 and it is good for length of stay through the 26th :) :cloud9:
-
That's the hope -- we are booked 9/19-9/26 and can't change our dates -- and it's the way it has worked in past years. However, it's been pointed out on several boards that Disney changed their...

Well, in 2004 the price was $2299.99, but it included a lot more than just that dinner: 2 nights at the GF, dinner at the GF, lunch at V&A, dinner inside the HM, a themed dinner and dessert reception...

Yes, but if you go to Epcot, then you can eat in China  Oh, that's probably not what you meant... :D
Yep, wasting food was a concern for us, too (must be a generational thing?) We...

We dropped our RR res and made one for WPC instead. Have heard better food reviews, and the menu looks good. We still want to experience RR though; our favorite trip ever was to Ireland in 2005,...

Great review, Jym! And of course, you mentioned my chocolate fondue :cloud9: The questions I have are: was it only offered as a dessert for two, or is a smaller portion offered for one? I was a...

They work beautifully at Taste Pilot's Grill in DCA. It's our favorite CS in that park. And the touchscreens are intuitive and very easy to understand -- we've never noticed anyone having a problem...

I thought one RFC was on the plan -- DTD? -- and one wasn't -- the one outside AK? I may have that wrong, or backwards...
A few DTD restaurants aren't on the plan, including Bongo's, HOB,...

Brilliant, I've never heard that. I'm stealing it, hope there isn't a copyright on it...
I plan on going to an all-you-care-to-eat buffet, pointing to the entire prime rib on the carving...

OK, point taken. But I'm refusing to pay taxes for any more bombs or politician's salaries -- only for school lunch programs, community colleges, homeless shelters, and national parks. :humph:

I have a question about a dessert item at the GF Cafe, if anyone happens to have ordered it...
I saw a dark chocolate fondue with fruit, which is a serious weakness for me :D One menu listed it...

I understand what the points you are making, and I don't leave much of a tip if the service is truly bad (thank goodness that is extremely rare). However, I consider a fair tip as part of the total...

The DDP has increased tip income for Disney servers, in some cases dramatically. The server I spoke with said that previously, before the DDP, the gratuity portion of their paychecks was often wiped...

Yeah, I usually do what I'm told....unless it doesn't make sense. Then I do what it takes to help the customer. :D (I challenge anyone in management to come sit in my chair and try to do my job...

SF has some fabulous dim sum in China Town...that's on our to-do list next time. We usually will go for the unusual and new over upscale...daring, I know...
We went to the City for our...

Oh, not at all...I totally understand where you are coming from. It's just that I don't believe the changes you and everyone else are seeing are being caused by the Dining Plan; rather the Dining...
-
Absolutely...and going into the service field in the first place because you are a people person. And wanting to do your job well because you will be seen as a valued employee.
Some Disney...

Sadly, me too. But then I have to cook, so then it loses some of its appeal ;)
Well said, ITA. I'm looking forward to trying the variety of restaurants at WDW, enjoying the Disney...

I understand your frustration -- and I hear it from others, too. You remember dining at WDW in its glory days, and as a frequent visitor, you have had the dubious honor of watching it slowly...
-
Uhhh, sure...I'll have get back to you on that, though. :D
What he said made sense to me, whether or not you agree -- YMMV. The menu changes are there, and they are real, no doubt about that. ...

Haven't been to WDW yet...first trip is in May. I've read menus, and I don't know what they used to look like, but the current choices look as good or better than what I've seen at DL. At DL we...

I also strongly disagree with ordering the most expensive menu item whether or not you like it -- I'd end up with a lot of untouched lobster on my plates  And yes, absolutely tip a little extra...

At my job, my call times are never the fastest -- in fact, I often barely make my numbers. But I get commendations from customers all the time, and I frequently get customers who come on the phone...

Rather than charging deposits or penalizing for missed ADR's, I think they could make it more full-proof to prevent multiple bookings.
When I first started trip planning, I was shocked to read...

How many days are on your park tickets? Once you get to a certain number of days, it doesn't cost much at all to add another day. The reason I'm asking is if you know you will definitely be in...
