My husband is jumping up and down about this trip BECAUSE OF THE FOOD! Not the rides (except Haunted Mansion), or meeting characters (that's my thing), but because we're eating at Garden Grill and...

I've only done MNSSHP but I thought it was worth the extra money. There are the special parades and shows, not to mention the characters that ONLY come out for those parties. And the fireworks! ...

Last year there was. I remember seeing it after they'd closed the line and thinking "DANG IT. I should have come here instead of waiting 25 minutes for Minnie Mouse!"
-
Even my husband is getting excited about the trip. Of course, he SAYS it's because we're eating at Garden Grill and he LOVES Garden Grill.
My son is bouncing off the walls. I measured him;...

I went to 1900 Park Fare for breakfast last September. I didn't feel as if it was overwhelmingly busy. WAY quieter than Crystal Palace, that was for sure. The food was awesome and the decor is...

Does anyone remember Skybus? THAT was an airline that nickle and dimed the heck out of its passengers! Want a pillow? That'll be $3. Want a drink? That'll be $5, and don't you DARE try to get...

I am so tempted to do a solo trip to Disney in early December to see the decorations. My husband thinks I'm crazy for wanting to go to WDW again so soon, but a friend of mine is worried that I'll...

This! :) Yummy!
Also, crepes in France in Epcot. Mmmm.

I am so torn on whether to trick my six year old with Beverly or not. On the one hand, it would be funny to see his reaction, but on the other hand, he might not drink another thing the entire...

Not really. I like people to be accurate, but what can you do?

For Disney World, I have always stayed on property. I like not having to deal with driving and parking and the extra magic hours and all that other fun stuff. Being immersed in Disney 24/7.
I've...

I got my Disney Dollars at The Disney Store a few weeks ago. They're themed with the Celebration theme of this year. They're colorful and pretty.
According to the Birnbaum 2009 Guide:
"Disney...

I'd keep checking back. When the August hours first went up, there were NO fireworks shows scheduled, or parades. They started going up gradually, and even up 'til last week or the week before...

I got an email from American saying the same thing. My flight is with Southwest, so no worries there.
I have booked with one of the baggage charging airlines if the cost of the flight with the...

Oooo a carving station???
I'm going for dinner the first time as well. I enjoyed the breakfast last year, and thought I'd give the dinner a shot.
Your reviews are making me excited!...

I'm counting on the evenings to be less crazy at the parks. I like the cooler weather and the typically lighter crowds. Plus I am a nightowl, so evening EMH are always great for me.

I have skimmed a few of your reports and will read them more in depth later.... I am enjoying your stories. The fishing neighbors had me cracking up and the girls are BEAUTIFUL! Thank you so much...

I'm pretty excited about eating at 'Ohana. I've heard great things about it. I love breakfast, but I am rarely up early enough to actually enjoy it!
Thanks, everyone. :) I'll add to this...

Enjoy your trip! I'm too impatient to do the road trip thing myself (I'm also in Chicago), but I can imagine that knowing Disney is at the end of the trip is great fun! :) :mickey:

My trip is now 17 days and 16 hours away. This will be my fourth trip to Disney World and I am getting as giddy as a giddy thing.
This is our first family vacation. And Adam's and my...

I'd suggest you have dinner BEFORE you go to the party. It seems like a long party but it's really not. The time FLIES by, and there are a lot of things to see and do. Special character greets, a...

Have fun on your vacation. It'll be so much sweeter now because you didn't think you'd get to go. :cloud9:

What annoys me the most is that the people who can probably afford the extra baggage fees--the first and business class flyers--aren't forced to pay the fees. Only those who buy the coach tickets. ...

This thread has made me paranoid, so I had to go and check my flights. Everything looks good, thank goodness.
I am so sorry you had to deal with this.
