Congratulations on your decision to run! I did the Wine and Dine Half this November and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had! A runDisney race is one of the best fitness...

Can't believe it, but the day has finally arrived! We are off to the airport in just a few minutes. Food and Wine and W&D Half Marathon here we come!:mickey::marg::beer:

I'm so excited! Finally down to the single digit countdown! 9 days until we leave!!!! :mickey:

Get ready to be spoiled by the best resort pool ever! Be sure to stop by Beaches and Cream too. We're 52 days out from BC and can't wait!!!!
-
Thanks guys! I will be burning the midnight FP+ oil!
-
I feel like such a newbie with FP+! That being said, our 60 day window is approaching a in a few weeks. Ordered our tickets and magic bands. When the 60 day mark arrives, what time does it actually...

I would definitely choose the BC standard room over the BCV, having stayed at both in the past. And I wouldn't rule out YC too quickly either. Having stayed at all 3: BCV, BC, YC- I would actually...

Thanks everyone! This makes a lot more sense now. As an added bonus, I called and got the fall promo rate, so now the last night I added is within $15 of the runDisney rate!!!!
-
AKL for sure! It is one of our favorite resorts anywhere.

So we're heading down in November for the W&D Half Marathon. We originally booked the BC for 11/6 through 11/10 and got the runDisney rate. We decided this week to add another day on the end so now...

We're running the Wine & Dine and started thinking about what our dinner will be the night before. Anyone have any ideas? We want something fun, while minimizing the potential for regret the next day!

I'm 6'6 and never been turned away from a ride due to my height. Granted, your son has a few inches on me, but I think I'm sort of in the same ballpark as him.
That being said, there are a few...

Discovery River Boats...I had more fun on the tram at the airport!

Another vote for the YC! We've stayed at YC, BC, BCV, BWI, and BWV -and the YC is the quietest and most romantic of the bunch. Plus, the Boardwalk area at night is one of our favorite places at WDW.
-
Sold out! Wow that was fast, glad I registered as soon as I got home yesterday!
-
It is an incredibly beautiful resort. Much more than just a hotel behind the Boardwalk! You will be pleasantly surprised by how many positives there are.
As far as negatives, there aren't many....
-
Whew! It doesn't involve Starbucks, I'm on board!
-
Has anyone else ever tried a new WDW resort that is out of their comfort zone (not your "home" resort) and ended up being impressed and happy with the decision to branch out?
For a long time, we...

Cape May! We've had some great breakfasts there. Lots of fun.

1. Even though the quick service area is small, we've never had a problem getting a table. The CMs keep it very clean. The food selection is good for a grab and go breakfast, complete with coffee,...

We actually found AKL to be very romantic. We had a nice evening at the Victoria Falls bar, they had really good wine and the atmosphere was really nice.
The grounds are really romantic,...

It so fun and relaxing! We love it here. Have fun!:marg:

My wife and I are seriously considering signing up for the Wine and Dine run in November. After all, what better motivation to get off the couch and into shape than a WDW vacation?
How quickly do...

Having stayed at all 3, I agree with every single word! (Really nice summary of all 3 by the way!) YC overall for me too.
-
Well, the winter chill has arrived and I find myself daydreaming of my favorite relaxing spots at WDW. Some of the most relaxing things for me are the water features at the resorts- waterfalls,...
