Typhoon
Lagoon
Twisting tides, roaring rapids,
wonderful waterways, and relaxing rivers await you at Typhoon Lagoon. If fish had an
amusement park, this would be it, because Typhoon Lagoon is overflowing with the wettest,
wildest attractions! Whether you are navigating the nine exhilarating water slides and
streams, conquering the world's largest artificially created waves, or snorkeling with
sharks, Typhoon Lagoon promises a wonderful water adventure for everyone.
New Family Raft ride coming to Typhoon Lagoon in Spring 2017!
Disney Parks & Resorts released this official information:
Miss
Fortune Falls will be a family-style raft attraction that takes guests on a
splashing journey through the fabled Captain Mary Oceaneer’s past. Legend
has it that Captain Oceanear, a treasure-hunting heroine, traveled across
the sea collecting unique artifacts before she became stranded at Typhoon
Lagoon many years ago by a rogue storm.
Aboard treasure rafts, guests will ascend to the top of the attraction
before plunging into a white-water adventure where they will be able to spot
some of the treasures Captain Oceanear gathered from around the world.
With a ride time of two minutes, Miss Fortune Falls will be among the
lengthiest attractions at both Disney Water Parks.

Surf Pool
Typhoon
Lagoon's signature attraction contains nearly 3 million gallons
of water! This gorgeous, turquoise-hued pool is surrounded by a
white sand beach. A few times an hour, Miss Tilly will blow her
horn, signaling the arrival of a HUGE set of waves, each 90
seconds apart. Those who prefer a little less
action can hang out in the two tide pools at the entrance sides,
Whitecap Cove and Blustery Bay.
INTERCOT Alert:
These waves are powerful! Stay well into the deep end to ride them, and
steer clear of the whitewater where the waves break. Guests can be swept
off their feet, and the rough bottom of the pool can cause scrapes and
cuts. Keep small children within arms reach at all times.

Crush 'N' Gusher
Typhoon
Lagoon's newest thrill ride! On Crush 'n' Gusher, a one of a
kind "water coaster," guests will be whisked along a series of
flumes and spillways that weave through what appears to be a
rusted-out tropical fruit facility. It's another chapter of the
Typhoon Lagoon legend. Guests can choose among three different fruit spillways -- Banana Blaster, Coconut Crusher and Pineapple Plunger. The
spillways range between 410 to 420 feet in length and feature varying
degrees of slopes and turns, reaching a peak of 35-feet and speeds up to
20 m.p.h.
Must be at least 48
inches
tall to ride.

Humunga Kowabunga
Typhoon
Lagoon's signature attraction. Three speed slides that send
guests flying through caverns at over 30 mph! These 214 foot
long slides offer a 51 foot drop. If you can get over your fear
of heights, this ride is a must do! Must be 48 inches
tall.
|
|
Castaway Creek
Drifting 2,100
foot circular "lazy river" that winds through the park.
Wonderful way to cool down, relax, and enjoy the scenery. The
slow moving current takes guests through a rain forest,
caves, grottos, and under a water tower with broken pipes. It
takes about 20-30 minutes to do a full circuit. Guests may enter
and exit only at designated points. Signs will indicate which
slides are nearby. Innertubes will be free floating for guest
use. |

interactive tugboat keep kids busy for hours! This area has been
designed especially for children under 48 inches. Note: adults
may only enter this area while accompanying children who meet
the height limit. |

|
Storm Slides
Zoom 30 miles
per hour into a refreshing pool. Choose from three body slides:
the Jib Jammer, Stern Burner or Rudder Buster. Each slide
is about 300 feet long, and they all offer a slightly different
ride. Try them all! |
|
Mayday Falls
This is the
longest waterslide in the park. Venture through caves and
waterfalls aboard a personal inner tube. |
