Emerge On 100 Years Of Magic Celebration
Walt Disney World has just released exciting details of it's 100 Years
Of Magic yearlong celebration at all 4 of it's theme parks. Paying
homage to the extraordinary show-business contributions of Walt
Disney, 100 Years of Magic will be centered at Disney-MGM Studios,
which will unveil The Sorcerer’s Hat (see below), a new 122-foot-tall
icon celebrating Disney magic and entertainment wizardry. Major
entertainment spectacles also are planned for all four Walt Disney

Years of Magic Celebration: A Parade-Lover’s Delight
For the first time ever, a parade spectacle will unfold daily in all four
Walt Disney World theme parks during the 100 Years of Magic Celebration
beginning Oct. 1, 2001. And that’s exactly as it should be, according to
Disney entertainment experts. All four parades incorporate the new “Suite
of Dreams” music written especially for the 100 Years of Magic Celebration.
“The 100 Years of Magic Celebration is a tribute to the imagination of Walt
Disney,” says John Haupt, managing producer for the parades. “We have tried
to tie our live entertainment to his penchant for creativity.” -June 28

Mickey Hat Crowns Disney-MGM Studios As Newest Icon at Walt Disney World
Resort
As Walt Disney World Resort prepares to celebrate the 100th anniversary of
the birth of its visionary founder Walt Disney, construction is underway on
a giant new icon at Disney-MGM Studios. The new icon represents the magic
of show business and the entertainment wizardry of Disney that is captured
throughout shows and attractions at the park. When finished, this giant
showpiece, made from composite fiberglass and shaped like the pointed hat
worn by Mickey in the animated classic “Fantasia,” will weigh 156 tons.

Walt Disney: One
Man's Dream - New Attraction @ Studios!
Disney-MGM Studios will be host to a new attraction called "Walt Disney: One
Man's Dream," a multi-sensory entertainment experience based on this man who
was willing to bet everything on his own dreams. The venue will open Oct. 1,
when the Walt Disney World Resort kicks off the 100 Years of Magic
Celebration, which runs through Dec. 31, 2002.

Atlantis Characters in Disney Studios
A reliable Disney World insider has indicated that characters from the
latest Disney animated feature "Atlantis: The Lost Empire," including Milo
Thatch, Princess Kida, Vinny Santorini, and Moliere can be found at Disney
Studios. For locations and schedules be sure to check the tip boards at the

E-Ride Nights Announced
Disney has officially announced its E-Ride schedule. July 3, 6, 10, 1 3,
17, 20, 24, and 27 from 10pm-1am. E-Ride Nights are an exclusive "private
party" in the Magic Kingdom for a limited number of Walt Disney World Resort

Very Merry Christmas Party
This year for Christmas, join Santa Goofy and the Kids of the Kingdom for a
magical Christmas celebration. The 2001 Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party
dates have been announced. On November 29, 30, and December 2, 6, 7, 9, 11,
13 16, 18 join the Magic Kingdom's yuletide celebration. 2001 hours and

Scary Halloween Party
The dates for the 2001 Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party have been
announced. October 18, 21, 26, 28, 31, are the nights to put your costume
on and party the night away with the most ghoulishly delightful cast of
characters in the World. Prices and hours are still to be determined.-June
