what exactly do I need to know about FP +?

We just booked a week at AKV Kidani for our 20th anniversary in early December. This will be our first time back since all the changes. What exactly do I need to know about this new system? It appears to be quite overwhelming and looks like a potential headache.

You need to set up a My Disney Experience account.

Link your room reservations to your account.

When you get tickets, link your tickets to the account.

Invite everyone who is traveling with you to connect with you on your My Disney Experience account.

60 days before arrival, go online and make fast pass reservations for your party. Don't worry if the times are not exactly what you want. You can edit the time of each fastpass individually after the fact.

Things may be different by time you go so keep an eye out for any news related to the ability to get more than 3 fast passes per day or the ability to get fast passes in more than one park per day.

Ok...so I did the My Disney Experience thing and linked our reservations. Our tickets are part of the package, so I should not have to link any tickets, right? Also my husband is already listed on my account and is on the reservation. Is it still the same for dining reservations? 180 days before? When we get our MVMCP tickets can they be linked also?

Dining is still 180 days out.

You should check your My Disney Experience to insure that your tickets show up there.

I don't know about the party tickets.

Make sure you follow latest updates. This is a work in progress and changes have been coming fast. Extra park hopping fps are going to be available soon, who knows what else might change by December.
