Love Actually
Best movie ever. I'm sitting here reading intercot and watching the movie and am in tears. It's like my two favorite things ever! Disney and a great rom com. I think enchanted might be a close third. Anyone else a huge love actually fan? It's been playing a lot on Cinemax recently.

That is one of my favorite movies. I am particularly fond of the Colin Firth story, but then again I'm fond of Colin Firth.

I love, love, love that movie. Always watch around Christmas. Like Cindy, I am a huge Colin Firth fan, but the other stories are just as good. That's probably my favorite Hugh Grant role. And even though it's not my genre, I've considered watching The Walking Dead because of Andrew Lincoln.
-
LOVE! It's one of my favorites too. If I come across it while flipping channels, I have to stop. Collin Firth is the cutest thing ever. I love the scene in the restaurant...makes me laugh and tear up all at the same time.
Now I wish I had the DVD here at the Bain with me!

Love, love, love Love Actually! Whenever I watch it face hurts from my smiling so hard. The bit with the Hugh Grant voice over about 9/11 and no one calling to tell someone they hated them gets me every single time.

Too funny, I'm watching it right now on Cinemax! Definitely at the top of my list. Saw it in theaters and watch it at least once a year. So many great actors... Although, being huge fans of The Walking Dead, it is ODD to see Andrew Lincoln in this now! He plays such a good tough as nails American in Walking Dead!

I love that movie!!! Probably my number one favorite movie of all time... The Beatles band number at the wedding is just awesome. I also love the scene where the PM of England dances all over his residence - that is hilarious!

"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often, it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know, none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaking suspicion... love actually is all around. "

There are so many quotable little lines, too! My favorite Intercot appropriate ones are "Ooooh would we call her chubby?" and "I HATE UNCLE JAMIE!"

Thank you for the quote Maryanne.
Mel, the Uncle Jamie line always cracks me up too. Thinking about it did we ever know why the child really hated him?

Didn't he walk out with all the presents he brought? If not, I'm not sure.

How did I miss this conversation? Totally this movie. Has two of of my least favorite British actors in it (Hugh Grant and Keira Knightly, who I actually like in this film) and my two favorite British actors (Colin Firth and Emma Thompson). But lots of heart. Love the scene where Mark shows up at Juliet's house with the signs.

OK, that explains it. I have always thought he left the presents and then left. I have always laughed because we have one child in the family who always "hates" someone at Christmas for some unknown reason. One year it was directed at her Grandpa who bought her a watch that wasn't digatel (sp?) but had hands and she didn't know how to read it. She was 16 at the time.

Yes, every one is all excited as he walks in with a big load of presents and they are all saying things like "Yay, Uncle Jamie is here! Yay we love you Uncle Jamie!" I believe he starts to make a motion like he's putting down the presents but then after saying a blurb he heads right back out, without leaving the presents, to which the children respond one by one, "I hate Uncle Jamie, I hate Uncle Jamie, I HATE UNCLE JAMIE!" Always makes me laugh. Also the whole interaction with the family when Hugh Grant finally gets to Natalie's house. "Eight is a lot of legs, David!"
