Magic Kingdom Trading Card Games

I just saw on Twitter from @WaltDisneyWorld that there is a release coming soon called "Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom Trading Card Game Coming to Walt Disney World Resort".

I did some searching to see if there were other Disney cards like this. I couldn't find much not even at the Disney Store.

Can anyone point me in the right direction where I could purchase past card sets?

OK. I don't know much but I will tell you what I think I know.

I believe the game you are referring to is an interactive game that is very new to Magic Kingdom Park. It is played inside the park (like the game they play in Epcot) but there are trading cards that go along with the game.

As far as I know, there are no cards to be purchased.

I read a trip report recently where one of the kiddos was playing the game and collecting/trading cards with other guests.

Hopefully someone will come along with a better explanation for you, but that is all I know and it may not even be right....

Yes, that is correct. The SotMK game that is currently being played and obtained from the Old Firehouse on Main St. USA as well in Liberty Square is now going to be able to be played Outside of Disney! How creative. It was rumored that this was going to be happening due to the cards having numbers on them that is common in TCG. And yes its official now. They are going to have Decks and Booster packs as well as 4 different game boards. They say the game will be thorough but easy enough for ages 6+. This is exciting news indeed! As for those Lightning Bolt cards (super dooper rare) #61-70, they are being RE-released again! So, if your one of those people who spent $2000 and bought them off ebay... tsk tsk... the rumors were right! They are now coming back! As for new added cards to the original 1-70, I am unsure, I hope, and believe there will be more different cards/spells/power-up and others! I never seen a TCG with only 70 cards total, usually there are 1000's! So *fingers crossed*! Hope this helps!

Thanks for the explanation, I was hoping to get my hands on them no having to visit the parks, it's going to be a while before I get back.
