Default Dessert only at California Grill?

Is it ok to make an ADR for California Grill (Yes, to watch Wishes) but only have Dessert and Coffee? I didn't know if you HAD to order dinner too or not.

    Thanks!!

We did it once, we had ressies and just had a desert. They didn't seem to mind at all.

Default So ... follow up question

The Priority Seating is at 920. Wishes should be at 10 ... if they are running late (Because people there will probably want to be sitting at their tables til Wishes is over - I know I would! ) ... will we be able to go up to the observation deck and watch the show before dessert?

You can go out anytime you want if we are just getting dessert we try to get a seating about an hour before wishes and free up the table about 15 minutes before the show. It gets crowded on the deck so go out a little early if you can

If you are still waiting for dessert. When it is time for wishes just ask your server to hold it until you get back in they are nice about it and they are used to people leaving during wishes

    Question

But if we are still waiting to go up to the 15th floor ... will they let us up early to watch Wishes before we've sat for dessert?

If you wanted to have dessert and not take a table for a portion of the evening (for the servers' sake), you could have dessert at the bar seats and still be able to watch the fireworks on their private deck.

    Enjoy your next trip.

Yes, they will let you up if you have a seating. And I don't feel guilty with just dessert and coffee. It still runs at least $50 plus tip for 4 of us.

This was years ago so it may not be true now but, we went up there and sat at the bar with no reservation. We had drinks, sushi and dessert. It was great.

They will still allow this IF there is space available.
