Default Has anyone tried the Buffalo Steak at Artist Point?

I am a protein junky. I was thinking of trying the Buffalo Steak at Artist Point. Could someone give me a review of this steak, please. I do not like sauces or any "sweet" meats. Since I have only had Buffalo burgers, I am intrigued by this steak.

Had it several years ago. Don't remember any details about sauces. Do remember it was quite tasty and tender. There were 3 of us. Each had a different entree. All of us really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. A beautiful restaurant.

Thanks for the reviews. I am looking at booking an ADR for the 14th. So Ron, I may eat one before your review. But, by all means post your review anyway.

I had it in Sept! It was hands down the best steak I had while there. It was servrd over a risotto with a cranberry reduction! I was impressed. Just have it served at the chef's recommendation as it can be dry if overcooked!! Enjoy!!

I had it last year. It was good but seemed to lack some flavor that steak has. I had it several years prior and remember it being juicy and flavorful so it may have just been off that night.

When we ate there about 3 years ago, I got the house specialty salmon on cedar plank and my DH got the buffalo steak.

    I wish I had his.

I'll tell him to come and give a review for you.

In terms of look and taste, buffalo meat is almost indistinguishable from beef.

If you ordered a "regular" steak at a restaurant, the kitchen could serve you buffalo instead of beef and you'd probably never know the difference.

Thanks! I hope the chef recommends it rare.

Thanks for that tip. Although I can tell a little difference in the burgers. To me it is kinda like the difference between a King crab and a Snow crab leg. Both are crabs, yet subtly different.

I didn't care for it at all when I had it. I wouldn't have it again. I prefer a thicker, juicier, more tender piece of steak. What I got was not flavorful by any means. I hope you enjoy it. Maybe it was an off night like a pp said.

    Cool

Don't get it if you don't like your meat med to rare. It is a lean meat so well or well done is not a good way to cook this steak. Had it med rare and it was great.
