Default When do your countdowns end?

Do you have your countdown end on the day you arrive, the last day of work, the hour you arrive????

I set my countdown tickers to the time I leave work on that last day. and since we drive, it takes us 2 days from the last day of work....

So, while my countdown ticker is at 16 day and 23 hours until quittin' time on the last day of work before vacation, I actually won't be on Disney property until apprx 18 days and 22 hours.

    I think I'll stick with 16 days vs. 18.

Just got me thinking about what everyone else considers the end of their countdown.

I set mine for the time we have to leave the house to get to the airport. That's typically around 4am.

For our December trip... the count down comes to an end with a 3am wake up and 4:40am pick up from Prime Time to the airport. Once on the shuttle... we are on our way. I relax once I am through security and on the way to the gates.

When our plane leaves the airport. We are officially on the way then!

(I used to count from when we left the house, but I fret about traffic, and would hate to count the time I sit in that.)

This last trip I had multiple countdowns, one for the amount of nights before we would leave, one for the number of work nights until my vacation, and of course the number of hours until we'd be in Orlando.

Now my countdown is just a bunch of ????? because I don't know for sure when we might be going next. Perhaps 2013? Do I really have to wait that long? Maybe 2012? Might want to get one more trip before the world ends, right? If I could save enough money, why not 2011?

When we took the plane down it was when we arrived in Orlando.
Last time we drove and I think I just ended the countdown when we left the house (not knowing how long we were going to take to get to WDW).

The minute I wake up on the day we leave "It's Here!". Ditching the bags at the hotel and hopping on the first bus is pretty great too. Getting through the gates onto Main Street makes it official.

That's what we do. I set the countdown for our arrival at ORD plus a couple of hours (depending on the resort, time of day, etc - it helps to have a pretty good idea of how long it will take for us to get to our resort via magic express), and then a little extra for the check-in process.

I'm usually accurate to within 30 minutes to, which is good enough for me.
