What type of Air do you book? Business/Coach
With all the money we spend when planning our Disney trips; what do you think of spending a little more on business class?
My thought has always been no matter how much fun we have at Disney we always need a vacation from our vacation. I am thinking it may be worth the money to fly more comfortably.
Pros & Cons to this? Any and all opinions welcome.

I'd rather spend my money on vacation - not so much on getting there and, worse, getting home again. We always book the least expensive air fare we can find though we will pay a bit more for a direct flight as I don't want to spend my vacation time running around (or sitting around) in airports.

coming from scotland we always flew economy but last year we got upgraded to business class one way. I will never fly economy again if I can help it. its just enough of a difference to make it worth the cost. i say if you can fly in style
Lifes a witch and then you fly

I always spend a little as possible on air, but we fly from Austin and it is not very far. Although, knowing me, I'd probably still fly 'on the cheap' no matter where I lived.
Like Faline, we will pay a little more for a direct flight.

Ditto on Southwest! We don't want to use any other airline! It's only a 2 hour flight from Chicago so no need to upgrade. Watching now for airfare for September.

We always book coach, but got a really good fare this time and we're 1st class home and I'm waiting to hear back on our upgrade for this afternoon.

We book the cheapest flights we can find. The last couple of trips we flew Southwest, non stop. The only thing we don't like about Southwest is, we have to fly out of Milwaukee. Thats about a 90 drive for us.
-
We like Southwest and typically fly as cheap as possible. We don't have a very long flight (2-1/2 hrs) so it doesn't matter that much. Southwest has much nicer seats and room than airtran!

My thoughts exactly, however, I might consider upgrading if I had a longer flight time (4 hrs. or more) but fortunately it is a 2 hr. flight for us.

It's a quick flight to for us to WDW and Jet Blue is quite comfortable so coach is fine. We are considering going back to DL for 2011 so that will definitely require an upgrade.

Disney is a short 2.5 hr flight for me. I go there a lot, but I save the upgrades for trips "home" to Hawaii or vacations abroad in Japan, New Zealand or Australia - being squished in coach for 17+ hours is rough, even for my short legs!!!

Exactly! We fly direct flights with the lowest fare possible. Might consider an upgrade if we had a long flight (like the poster from Scotland) but we are so close it has not been an issue for us.

We usually book coach and depending on availability and price we may upgrade to business or if DH & I have enough mileage points but usually we are just happy to get a flight for a decent price!

I am one off those people who does not care how I get there, as long as I get there, but will always use the cheapest flights, that leaves more money for the enjoyment.

Coach. I've upgraded on a couple of occassions when it was a cheap upgrade fee or when I had enough miles to do so.

flying from newfoundland the cheapest flights still end up being at least $1200 pp return if not more, so economy is the only realistic option for a family of 4. on the plus side, bags fly free!

Thanks everyone for their thoughts. I believe we can do an upgrade fairly responable. When I say that it is only because I am picking and choose my splurge. Since the spa day did not work out I think I may spend it on a business class up grade. We can do this for 100.00 a piece. We have a two hour drive to the good ol' DFW Airport and our flight leaves at 7:00am. So this makes for a very very early morning. We may want to get our snooze on during the flight.
We will see, live and learn right? Thanks again everyone.
