Valentine's Day, & Flower and Garden

Ok everyone, does anyone know if any special characters come out for either Valentine's Day or during the Flower and Garden Festival. Thanks for the info.

i just read on the intercot home page that characters from fantasia will be out for the flower and garden festival!!! here's the direct quote: "Find select Disney Characters from Walt Disney Pictures' Fantasia."

this is listed under the topic for the 2010 festival, but the subtopics all say 2009 festival, so i'm not following if that's information from last year or it's just dated wrong? and if it is for 2010, I'm wondering if anyone knows when exactly they characters will be out. the festival lasts for several weeks and i'm wondering if they'll be out daily, on weekends only, etc?

Interesting rumor, I would like to know that too. OF course that could just mean Sorcerer Mickey. It would be neat to meet Ali Gator and Hyacinth Hippo. We will try and go each weekend and see who we can find. The Canadian meet spot is a great place to have a bunch of characters so maybe we will get lucky this year.

We went in May 07 and all the bug characters were out from Bug's life. I am so not as good as you all on the names but Francis the ladybug-dude was there. Also Flik, Princess Atta, and the other one... is it Dot? Have fun! Cant wait for your posts and pix!!

Do you remember where they were located? I know things change from year to year and even from hour to hour, but it never hurts to ask.

Below reflects 2009 schedule. 2010 events & times still pending.

The only information so far released for the 2010 festival has been the Overview Press Release.

Once the detailed events are released for the 2010 festival, they will replace the 2009 listing.

All the bugs life characters were of course in Epcot. Mostly by the butterfly house and the topiaries(scattered). Sorry not more help- that was before my angling days had begun in full force!

To answer your question about Valentine's Day, I was there 2 years ago for Valentines, and there were not any extra characters out for this event, in fact I didn't see anything even done for Valentine's until it was night - then all they did was bring roses out in the carts that sell lighted toys....so I would say no there won't be anything for you....unfortunately...I would have liked to see some "sweetheart" photos available ie: princes with princesses and Mickey with Minnie, etc......you could always ask at Town Hall though!

In April 06 and April 08 we did see extra characters during the Flower and Graden Festival -- both years they were in the Festival demo / sale areas. I would guess this year it would be in the weekends only building "Garden Town" (old Wonders of Life.)
I don't see and Meet and Greets listed, but the 2010 Festival map does show an activity area themed as "Princess Tiana’s Wedding Bayou" - I'm thinking Tiana may make appearances (rather than BugsLife ones or the Alice Characters who we saw in 06.)
