    Default Halloween

We arrive for our next vacation on Saturday, October 31 - Halloween. Two questions. Is the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party really worth the extra cost? My kids won't make it staying up until midnight so we will only be there for a few hours. It sounds fun, but I'm not sure I'm all that excited about spending $250 or more just for that evening when we already have annual passes.

Second, if we decide not to do the party, are there any other suggestions of things to do for the kids to get their trick-or-treat fix?

    Thanks.

We too have kids that won't make it until midnight. We've gone twice and that was one time too many. It wasn't worth the $$ for the time we were there.

I can't answer your second question, but think there are trick or treating areas in the resorts or in Downtown Disney? Someone else can confirm or deny that one.

We went a couple of years ago and enjoyed the parades and the fireworks a lot = however, it is a lot of extra money to spend. We will be there this year (arriving on 10/29) and have opted not to go due to the cost. See you at the world....

FYI...I am from the Boston area, so I don't know if this is available for the rest of the country. I am looking at an AVON catalog which is their Halloween campaign # 19. They are selling Snow White, Pirate, Wizard, Cinderella and Tinkerbell costumes at $19.99 each. One size only fits 4 - 6X. If you have an AVON lady this may be of help.

I hope I am not breaking the rules by posting this. If so, I apologize.

Just wanted to let you know that there's also a MNSSHP on Sunday, Nov. 1.
Ticket holders can enter the park at 4 p.m. and get a wrist bracelet.
We've been three times in the past (including twice in one week on our last trip) and we've never stayed until the end.
We like to leave at about 11 p.m. and beat the traffic.
The parade and the fireworks are awesome! We love watching the Headless Horseman ride down Main Street U.S.A.
Hope this helps. Have a great time. We'll be there Nov 1-9.

We went to the party last year. It was too busy to do anything. We saw Tarzan, the parade, fireworks, trick or treated and left. It was not worth it.
Call your resort to see if they will be offering trick or treating. And if you have a car, spend the 250 to go to Sea World, they have trick or treating and you get more for your money. I have said that I could have picked up some candy for 20 bucks and been done with it.

Don't know how old your kids are but, if they like fireworks and parades, we would say don't miss it! The Hallowishes fireworks and Boo to You parade (preceded by the Headless Horseman as mentioned previously) are THE BEST of any at WDW, in our opinion!
The trick or treating is great, as well as seeing characters "in costume."

If the kids are too young, or you think they may scare easily, I would say don't bother but otherwise we think it's well worth the money!
