Default BY - privacy curtain for sink area

I've seen where people are bringing shower curtains and rods to put up separating the bed area and the sink area to keep the light down. Has anyone done this while staying at BC? If so, did it work out okay?

I am not sure if you'll need the privacy curtain. You will see in the FLOOR PLAN that tha vanity is faces away from the head of the bed and that there is a wall between the vanity and sleeping areas - very little light makes it to the people sleeping.

I would forgo the shower rod & curtain unless one of your roommates is a very light sleeper.

I just remember last time we stayed there, I was trying to rig a shield from the light over the sinks so that the kids could sleep in. I guess I could just unscrew a couple light bulbs until they wake up.

Umm... I'm not really seeing why a privacy curtain is needed to keep the lights from shining in the rest of the room? Can't you just turn off the lights? We ususally leave the curtain (to the balcony) open about half way to enjoy the morning sunshine. Otherwise, you could turn on the actual bathroom light and close the door enough to illuminate whatever you wish.

Sorry. I guess I should have explained. The mirrors aren't in the bathroom, so I need the light on early in the morning to make coffee, put on make up, etc. I didn't want the light waking up the kids.

Kind of hard to blow dry your hair in the dark. LOL!

I understand your problem. If you found yourself trying to rig something up I would bring it just in case. Never hurts to have something you may need along. I have to blow dry my hair every morning (I have a short cut and am very particualr about fixing it) but if you are only putting on makeup why not just bring a mirror with you and put it on in the bathroom? You can always turn the light on in the bathroom and leave the door cracked, so very little light escapes, in order for you to make coffee.

We have our own bathroom this year no worries in that department. I can get up at the crack of dawn and shower without waking anyone!

I could have sworn the coffee maker in our room had a timer - but I could be totally wrong. If it has a timer just set it up the night before to brew in the morning. As for the rest of it - we always just put our kiddo in the bed furthest from the bathroom in order to avoid the light bothering her.

Not sure about the BC but at the CBR there is a curtain already there to pull across the sink area. We use this when one person is in the shower the one before can get dressed and ready with some privacy with the curtain pulled while the others chill on the beds watching TV waiting for their turn. We love the curtain idea, but it' already there for CBR.

Going in 10 days!!!!! Can't WAIT!
