loved splash mountain

I posted before that I was afraid to try splash mountain and my kids and husband were begging me to go on well I just went on a couple of days ago on my trip to DW and I absolutley loved it the 50 foot drop wasn't as bad as I thought it was and I am so glad I tried it! I can't wait to go back next year and do it again they also got me to go on test track it was a little scary on the hair pin turns a little like driving with my husband but we do not have a convertible we have a mini van so it was a little different. I would also do that one again. thank you for all your advise on splash mountain it was because of all your opinions that I decided to try it and ended up loving it!

I HATE the drop. and I only started going back on after my daughter made me (she was 4 by the way) But our last trip I FORCED myself to keep my eyes open so may maybe I could buy the picture with my child. And I did it! So I understand. It was a big moment for me. Congratulations. I know how you feel.

My mother was a bit different then you. She went on it 2 times our first trip down. Well, when the next year came around she had read about the ride and the 50 foot drop. She then declared "I'm not riding that one"! I told her that she rode it twice the year before and loved it. Her reply was "Oh that was that ride? I loved that ride. It was my favorite!" I just rolled my eyes and laughed at her.

Congratulations on trying it and liking it. It is my all time favorite ride and I try to ride it as much as possible when we are there.

Excellent! Glad you liked it! I was the same way - I have a fear of heights and did not think that I could possibly deal with the drop. I was very pleasantly surprised at how the Briar Patch made the drop seem so much less intimidating! I love it now, myself.

After going to WDW last year for the first time in almost 20 years, Splash Mountain quickly became my number one most favorite ride. DD7 loves it too and we plan to do it several times this next week.

So glad you liked it! There's a lot more to that ride than the drop so I always encourage people to give it a try. Glad you liked Test Track too. We've all been trying to get my mom on Splash, but no luck yet. She likes Test Track though.

Splash mountain is my favorite ride at MK! It's the one I most looked forward to on our entire trip. We were there for 2 days, 8/23-24. The bummer is I only got to ride it once. The night we had the EMH it was closed due to mechanical problems. That stunk!

On our last trip I decided to tackle all of the rides that I had always been too chicken to try (really not many...only 2 TOT and RNR)
I went on both of them a few times each and I am glad. Now the only ride that I have not been on is EE (always closed down when we are in the AK) Oh well, maybe next time

Isn't it awesome?...such a happy ride. Makes me smile just to think about it. What time of day did you try it? The heat of the day is great, of course, but unless it is exceptionally cool, our favorite time is after dark. Quick, but wonderful view of MK before you get thrown in the Briar Patch.

So glad that you gave it a try...kudos. We all knew that you would love it! It is one of our favorites. When we were at MK last November our 4 yr old granddaughter rode SM and said that the ride was good until the "downhill part". Well, we are booked for next Thanksgiving (over a year away!) and hopefully by then she'll decide to give it another try and love it too. Here's hoping...

Glad you tried it and glad you enjoyed it! I remember the first time I went on it was slightly against my will. haha. I was afraid of riding rollercoasters at the time and really didn't like the looks of the big drop. It's funny though cause I ended up loving it. It's now one of my favorites! in fact, on my family's last trip to Six Flags, I rode every coaster there and enjoyed them all. I have apparently overcome the fear.

I'm so proud of you!!! Yay you went on it!! It's funny because my sister said the same thing. She refused to go on it for years and then finally about 3 years ago she was feeling brave and decided to try it. And same as you, she LOVED IT and wondered why she hadn't gone on it before! Haha! I'm so glad you liked it!
