So I convinced my dh to go to Disney again in Jan 2009. We're also thinking of getting AAA this year. What kind of discount can we expect for that? We're planning on getting a pkg with ddp and hoppers. Any help would be appreciated!

We saved a little less than $300 from the quoted Disney price by booking with AAA. We are going during value season, staying at a mod. resort and are a family of 4.

You will need to contact AAA about packages, but through places like Magical Journeys you can get a room-only discount with your AAA membership. Amounts depend on the resort category.

I'm sure someone from MJ will be here soon to give you a ballpark figure.

right now you will have to pay 1 day at peak season price to book a room and when the 2009 prices come out it will have to be readjusted. i just did a jan 09 booking and had to do this and was told whatever value season rate is take 20% off on a value resort with aaa discount.

i have booked with AAA on all of our trips.. i like the face to face contact I get with my travel agent who knows me by name.. and the last time we went in April.. AA cancelled our flight I called Pat our travel agen she found us a room .. and was even looking into getting us a car rental in case AA (we flew on flyer miles) could not get us re-booked in time to have us back for work ...she is always there for us anytime we need her and we have found the we usually book when they have a promotion going on and it is usually the same price as Disney charges... but as i said my wife and I prefer if we have a problem we have one person who knows our schedule and what we need in and out and knows just how to fix it.. so we will be booking with AAA on any future trips
