    Default DTD Hotels and Driving

    Greetings Fellow Intercot-ears!
I have a question for those of you that have stayed at any of the Downtown Disney Hotels (like the Royal Plaza, the Hilton, etc). I know there is free shuttle service to and from the parks, but I was wondering...if a person were to drive themselves and park at say, Epcot or something, would the regular parking rates apply? I know that as a regular Disney resort guest, you can get a parking pass at check-in and park for free. I assume it's not the same for these resorts. I've never stayed off-property before, and there's a chance I'll be staying at the Royal Plaza in October. This is a whole new world for me! Any advice would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

I may be wrong, but I am pretty sure you would have to pay regular parking rates. The Downtown Disney hotels do not have the same perks as the Disney resorts with the exception that the Downtown Hilton does participate in EMH.

If this is incorrect, I would love to know because we may stay at the Doubletree next year.

Thanks for replying! I figured that this is the case (I'd have to pay), but I'm not sure. Well, if I stay there in October, I'll find out and report back!

The last few trips we have stayed at the DTD hotels just due to their value and location. Thats is pretty much the only "disney perk" you get, location of still being inside the world's gates. No dinning plan, no extra magic hours. You do pay full price when you drive to each of the parks.
    Hope this helps...

As posted above, you pay the full parking rates. It would be interesting if they could at least provide you a discount of some kind, but reckon since these hotels are not Disney owned... no discount.

Right, you have to pay. But do you have an Annual Pass? You get free parking with an AP.
