In May the third dollar type will be released. No photos available for it yet. Ya get the feeling Disney is catching on that people collect these things and do not spend them?

That's always been Disney's goal with Disney's dollars ... People keep them and never spend them, that's the only way they make money on them.

Am I a huge disney fan? YOU BETCHA! I blame it all on my parents! They are the one's that walked around Disneyland all day to induce labor! Yep, I've been going to Disneyland since the day before I was born!

But now they change designs every year. Sometimes, such as this year, there will be at least 4 different $1.00's.
From 1987 to 1999 there was basically one design for the $1.00 note, except for Mickey's 65th and WDW's 25th. Since 2000 there has been a new design every year, some years more than one.
Yes they knew many were saved or lost, but now I think they realize the collectable market is big. Check out eBay, today there are 10 pages of Disney Dollars up for bid.

I would think those and the princess dollars should be around at least for a little while. I got the pirates ones at a couple different places over the last few weeks: Star Traders, Emporium, City Hall, World of Disney, and Disney Gallery.
I hope its okay to mention these, in this thread.
If you spend $50 or more in merchandise (in a single transaction before tax and after discounts), from May 20-Aug 18, you get a park exclusive Pirate 3 watch and lithograph for $10, plus tax.
If you are DLR passholder, you can order online, the Pirate 3 DLR Passholder pin. You can purchase up to 5.
