Trerasure Detector Magic

I am not shure what is does or what you get. I just got it and i would like help on it

It operates like a regular one-use magic pin, where you wear it and double-click to start it. However, as soon as it starts, make sure you walk around the room you're in. The magic will stop you if it finds treasure, and a window will pop up telling you what it found.

You can get it by treasure keys from the pirates game I think. Are they still giving it out?

You've never been able to get Treasure Detector magic with the pirate keys. You only get one time use Davey Jones magic from pirate keys.

I guess you answered that question yourself.

I got NOTHING!
I walked around and it found nothing.
Is it always supposed to work?
I can't do the quest over to try it again either.

No it isn't always a prize, many times it's nothing.

Just be sure that, when you use the treasure detector magic, that you keep walking around in a public room (not one of your own rooms, nor a friends room, nor rooms on the guest rooms list).

Public rooms are those such as Main Street, Town Square, Haunted Mansion lobby, etc.

It worked fine in my Epcot room. I got 5000 credits. Someone else tryed it in the Dungeon and they got nothing. So it doesn't matter where you use it, sometimes it just doesn't work.

Got nothing in Fantasyland in the Sky, and got a Buried in Treasure magic pin in VMK Gallery! ^_^ Thanks for coming with me everyone!

Aww I got nothing. I paused while the pin was just starting to take effect and then walked around a bit and then paused again. When the pin finished the "holding map" effect I got nothing. But I guess the room makes a difference since I was in Shrunken Ned's shop.
