In '94, my wife and I were taking the bus from Pleasure Island to the Grand Floridian. At the Poly stop, Bret Michaels from Poison got on with a trampy looking girl. They sat down on the inward facing seats at the front. He then pulled his cowboy hat down over his face.

Two or three years ago, we were at the face painting tent at ToonTown, We heard some commotion and saw people pointing at someone. I looked down the walkway at who they were pointing at and saw a tall black man with long hair walking away toward the Tea Cups. I asked a CM who it was, and she said it was James Brown.

Well back when I used to work in the parks, I saw a bunch of celebrities, even got to meet a few of them.

But as a guest...let me see...

Once I was coming out of SGE and accidently bumped into this "goth/punk" looking guy with tons of tattoos (once of which said MOM or something like that). Then I saw that there were a couple of other "punk" looking guys with him and they had a guide. Turns out it was Good Charlotte...although I wasn't that impressed b/c I don't like their music!

Also, this past September when I was back working in Marketing at WDW, my fiancee and I literally almost ran into Kathy Ireland . So I made a crack that Kathy was stalking me...and no joke 2 more times throughout the day we turned around and boom...there she was and almost ran into her again.

Was she really stalking me...all signs point to yes!

I saw John Y at Animal Kindom once. He was very nice and easy to talk to, just like a regular person.

In many cases they don’t walk around like everyone else. They are allowed to use special back area entrances to rides and attractions. It is still not clear to me if this is supplied to celebrities for free or if anyone can pay for a “special guide”. Here is a link to a discussion we had a while ago about these perks http://www.intercot.com/discussion/s...ad.php?t=79284

I don’t know who would mob or even care about a “celebrity”. To me there are plenty of people who deserve my respect and maybe special treatment at WDW, I would include many of the people staying at Shades of Green in this category.

that was a very interesting link to the thread you gave. (Too bad i could not respond to some of the comments on there!)
All i was saying is, this is reality. Celebrities DO get mobbed, like it or not, and it would cause a big disruption for them and us if they were just walking around like the rest of us. (Obviously depending on who the celeb. is; wether they are very famous/recognizable/current would be a big factor in how big a distrubance that could be. )

I've heard that anyone can pay for a special guide, at the rate of about $100 an hour- but that was a few years ago, it probably cost more now.

I ran into Wayne Brady at Toon Town. He was purchasing photos of his children with the characters in the Judge's Tent. He was trying to hide his face.

    Default I saw...

I saw Curt Schilling the weekend or so after they won the world series a couple of years ago. It was pretty neat. We were getting our girls hair cut at the barber shop on Main street, and he came out of the ally way in the corner with some cast members.

He's the real celebrity! Along with Donald, Goofy, Minnie, Pooh, etc., etc. Otherwise, why would everyone be scrambling for their autographs?

I went to the Magic Kingdom sometime in the late '90s (can't remember which year) and the cast of the TV Sitcom Step by Step was in the park filming a Disney themed episode. We saw some of the characters, and even got to walk by in a crowd scene. I never saw the episode though, so I don't know if I made it to TV

In 1995, I saw Huey Lewis and one of the News (Johnny Colla). While a bunch of girls mobbed Huey, I got to talk to Johnny for a few minutes. He was a really nice guy.

I haven't thought about it before but we've had a few "run-ins" as it were:

Mandy Moore going down Main Street at the MK.

Kelsey Grammar at the MK over by Splash Mountain.

Steven Tyler in the post ride area of RnR at MGM, (guess he'd just gotten off the ride... ).
    We're almost complete...

Pagie Davis from Trading Spaces. I was walking out of AK with my family and I hear this voice say "Oh theyre so pretty" near the flamingo habitat. And Im like "That sounds like Paige." I was too shy to say anything but her husband realized that I recognized her and smiled at me (which totally made my day because hes sorta-kinda famous too).

A few months later her book came out and there was a journal entry for that day. They got to get up close to the elephants! Of course I wasnt mentioned...."some weird girl was whispering and staring at me..."

Oh yeah, and two trips later my mom and I were walking back to the Boardwalk from EPCOT and met Ernie Banks. A dream come true for my mom.

My mom and dad saw Tiger Woods at the Saratoga Springs. Well they were in the pro shop of the golf course there. He was talking to some cast members. My dad was thrilled, but wanted to leave him alone. After he left my dad asked one of the guys about him- they said that he practices there alot. He was getting ready for the British Open (I believe).
