    Question

Has anyone been to this? I think it is something my parents "might" enjoy, but would like more info & input before I recommend it to them.
They are from TX, & love country music & BBQ.
Is the show similar to the Diamond Horseshoe Saloon in MK? Do you feel it is worth the time & $$?
Can you use your "flex" features for it?
    TIA,
    Mysttree

Well... if they're from Texas and they like country music and BBQ- I have no doubt they'd like this show

It's definitely worth the money (especially if you can use a "flex"- ask at CRO).

It's a huge meal served family style. Buckets (literally) of food are plopped down ceremoniously on your table- chicken ribs, etc. salad, corn on the cob and more. You can get more of anything by just asking. Dessert is strawberry shortcake.

The show is performed during dinner. Corny jokes and songs, dancing girls, etc. Diamond Horseshoe Saloon on a much larger scale.

They start taking reservations 2 years in advance- so call now if you're going within the next 2 years! We made our reservations about 14 months ahead and got a table touching the stage! It was so much fun

I think this show appeals to everyone - even those like me who DON'T like country music

We went for the first time in Dec. 2000. We thought it was fun and we enjoyed the food.

It was my husband and I, my 6 yr. old daughter and 2 yr. old son, mother-in law, and sister-in -law. We made reservations in September and got a table in the second row.
It is expensive but I think we'll do it again.

Just to put a slant on the several positive reviews you'll read about the Hoop-Dee-Doo:
The food is good, however nothing better than anything similar around WDW and nowhere near "great".
The music and show are reasonably entertaining, however neither the music nor the comedy come close to anything at either the Adventurers Club and the Comedy club in Pleasure Island.
An evening at a decent Downtown Disney restaurant, followed by shows at the Adventurers Club and Comedy Club will provide you with far more laughs, more feet tappin' and more satisfied stomachs than the Hoop-Dee-Doo. There will not be much of a difference in cost.
I must add this is a fairly rare opinion. And most Disney ol' timers will be big fans. I just think it's not worth the fuss.

    Cool

The HDD is not available as a flex feature...

The average flex option is valued between $15 - $20, depending on what you select...

HDD is over twice that amount per ticket

We went to the show for the first time last month....It is very similar to Diamond Horseshoe Saloon Show...The meal is very limited..If you're not a ribs & chicken kinda person it might not fit your appetite...My teens were not thrilled with the food...

That being said, you're really paying for the show..The food is just a perk

I'd recommend it..It's a great evening out and very entertaining...

    Cool

My husband, kids aged 5 & 2 at the time, father & mother-in-law and myself went 2 years ago and loved it. The food we thought was great and the entertainment wonderful, my husband actually got up stage for one of the skits and still talks about it to this day. I would recommend the hoop to doooo, have a great time. Yee-haaaaa.
